It’s going to be interesting seeing the people still staying we will stay up after we lose to Sheffield Wednesday in April 🤣
I’ve thought that for a while.

I get the feeling that this could so easily be us this season.
Strangely they were in the same position as we are now, that was the year they stayed up on the last day at our place when we needed to win to have a chance of automatic promotion.

After a good little spell Pompey are heading back into trouble.
Oh to have a good little spell this season. That would truly be the highlight.

We know we broke the rules at the time and we were punished. We also know the rules were flawed and the premier league want the “elite” to stay the elite.
But facts are facts I guess.
That said it might help our appeal cause, though probably not.

Your conversations about kids and podcast. My lad is 14 and I think he's be ok listening. But he's gutted and it really hits him when we lose now. I feel like I need to apologise that I have passed supporting Leicester to him(and my daughter but it doesn't bother her too much).
We also don't live in Leicester area, so he also has to put up with stick from stoke, Derby and others.
Son I'm sorry, but you will always remember us winning the FA Cup

14 games played against teams from 15th down.
3 wins. One of them was at home to Sheffield Wednesday. The other two were Charlton away and West Brom at home - two genuinely fortunate wins.
We've been an absolute disgrace in those games.
Sheff wed was pretty lucky too. We were naff.

Should have come and sorted the first goal out.
Should be aggressive and come to punch the corner for the third goal out.
Zero command of the area or six yard box.
Rowett sacked him off for Begovic because he knows he’s crap but has had to reluctantly put him back through injury. Otherwise he wouldn’t be playing again this season because Rowett is like all of us and thinks he’s shite
From where I sat I thought he made a meal of the save leading up to the corner. Could have adjusted his feet and just caught it. But might have been my angle.

Gary, I know you won’t read this. But to some extent the fan have been behind you in your 1st set of games. But if you continue to play Jordan Ayew you will quickly lose that.
-
Piper and Rowett both said the word trust in the post match. You can’t trust most of the players.
-
Should’ve made the subs earlier, though he kinda acknowledged that in his interview. Keeper is a massive problem.
-
I think jj wants to make a club a home for a bit. I think as long as we stay up he will sign.

Don't get this extension.
He's not kicked on as expected. Probably non League is his level.
I'd imagine Hutchinson, Evans, Otchere and Alves are all going to be ahead of him next season.
So we can get a fee even if small.
-
Next 6 we need to get these 4 wins if we can, but we haven't put form like that together really since maybe the 1st few games.

Been better since we simplified the way we play. In fact both full backs have been.

Not sure I agree. Ayew received and controlled the ball multiple times. Each time he did I reckon Daka wouldn’t have.
No doubt he has a better touch than daka, but I guess we all know the issue is we needed a striker.
Daka has more energy. Though that isn’t difficult.

My favourite bit was dakas shot.
seriously fair play to Rowett we have lost 1 in 5 and had 3 tough away games.
a long way to got but we have a chance.-

Cooper seen his decline.but was called out as a crap manager for not playing him.
He was just crap anyway. But he got that right.

He’s improved us, however it’s still not exactly amazing.
It is very much like the Dean Smith situation. I just hope our inability to act and those two missed game don’t cost us like last time. Still blows my mind that it took us so look to appoint a manager who was out of work.
Form wise, we are not 18th in the table over the last 4 games.
Our last 10 game form we were 23rd.
So it’s an improvement.
His goal is to keep us in this league.
Matt Bloom has got a better bounce than have so far with Rowett. The Oxford / Blackburn game on Wednesday is massive. I see a world where both us and WBA get relegated and Oxford stay up.
The Leicester Bristol game is bigger. We win that. It all on us. We have winnable games, I just don’t know if we’ll win them.

Again like almost any game with us, it would be a shock but not a surprise if we won, but also again not a surprise if we lost 4-0.

Imagine finishing 8th in the Championship and getting to the Premier League.
Stupid.
Yep its all getting closer to american sports.

I guess this means we'll get a fee for him, but anything we get will be positive in the calculations?
With the team around him and the right manager he's useful. But that remains to be seen.

No he would be good at that, so not sure he can be employed. We don't have that around here thank you.

I don't actually know what to type. Basically "we've changed everything but in theory not changed hardly anything" is what I read in that article.

Championship 2025/26 Season

I compared him to kingy too at the weekend. He could scored some great goals and a great finisher, but sometimes you didn’t notice him in games.
Though I think it’s more in those around JJ then himself to be honest.
