Just to test the logic on your thinking, that means if you ever do something morally questionable you should just double down and continue to do the same thing forever more? I have no issue with people being a hypocrite if they are contrasting their own morally dubious behaviour with better future behaviour backed up by a reason and logic.

Scraped together the money to travel back early from San Francisco to be back in time for the play off final in 2013. Travelled mainly by bus to New York for the final leg of the journey just in time to watch Deeney wheel away… the flight back from NYC was a little flat after that.

As mentioned above, it might be that your son is set on watching Real but, if not, I'd highly recommend considering one of the other Madrid based teams to watch a match. Atleti's stadium is great and they offer really good (and affordable) hospitality packages too. Otherwise, as mentioned above, watching Vallecano or Leganes will be a really unique and interesting experience. Even buying things like shirts would be far less expensive and a bit more interesting when he gets home. You don't see too many Vallecano or Laganes shirts around. You could then do a stadium tour of the Bernabeu so your son can experience it. Madrid is a lovely city! You'll have a great time.
