We’ve also had 8 or 9 academy players in or around the first team this season. Our academy gets a bit of stick at times on here, but it’s clearly doing okay.

I’d be surprised if it’s not 3 or 4 nil at least, India are the weakest team in the group and will do well to get any points. Syria will be there best chances of getting something.

Asian Cup will kick off on Saturday, looking at the time the games should be reasonable for the European audience, shocking for the Aussie supporters, but hey we’re used to being up at 3am to watch our team. Australia, Japan, Iran and South Korea will be the big teams to look out for, but, with the tournament being in Qatar, I’m backing Saudi Arabia to lift the trophy in February. The group stage could be pretty boring with Australia v India and Japan v Indonesia games for example should be big wins for the big nations. Qatar are both holders and hosts and could go well, but I don’t think they have the quality to match the big guys if they show up. Leicester links: Obviously Harry Souttar is the big Leicester link playing for Australia. But former Fox Roberto Mancini will also be at the tournament managing Saudi Arabia. I expect this tournament to come alive in the knock out stages, when the big four of five teams start being challenged and playing each other. Despite its timing, I think most of the sides have their best players available and it should be good a good tournament. My predictions - for what they’re worth: Winners: Saudi Arabia runners up: Iran Top scorer: Taremi (Iran)

I think everyone has already said most of the things that spring to mind, just to add The Turnstile Pub on a match day. Not sure if there is an equivalent these days, but was brilliant before and after games in there.

Whilst I see the frustration with Evans, I think his comments at the end of the final game last season did not go down well. But what did find really sad is the FA Cup winning team, the only FA Cup win in our history and so many of the players that won it for us that day are now spoken about so negatively amongst fans on here. Like the league winning team they should go down in history amongst our supporters but look at the team that day Schmeichel, Fofana, Evans, Soyuncu, Castagne, Tielemans, Ndidi, Thomas, Perez, Iheanacho and Vardy - Maddison, Morgan, Choudhury and Albrighton Of that list only really the players who won the league also are looked upon fondly. Fofana, Evans, Castagne, Tielemans, Thomas, Perez and Maddison half that team seem to get really negative opinions regularly. Hopefully, history will be kinder to them than we are now.

It’s this type of reporting that gets me and confuses the issue. Just because there is contact doesn’t make it a foul. There is not enough in it to bring him down, it’s not a free kick anywhere else on the pitch. Call it what it is - cheating

That’s disgraceful from Bruno Fernandes. You’re playing League One opposition and you feel the need to dive like that. As for Taylor, you’ve got the perfect position to see that and book him for the dive - embarrassing

I’m sure the commentators are trying to say “test Tickle” as many times as they can. He really needs to test Tickle from there for example.

A winnable tie at home, chance for the last 16 with at least 10 pl sides already out of the competition by that stage. At least 2 of the “big money 6” will also be out already. Lets go on and win the thing

What’s everyone’s thoughts on playing music in a public place? The beach, a quiet picnic area, anywhere else where the area is to be enjoyed by all? It grinds my gears every year at this time of the year when we spend more time outside. Is it just me being a cranky old man? Do you do it? Would you? Does it bother you? I’m really interested in the thoughts of others on this topic. From people I’ve spoken to personally I’ve had a mixed bag of responses, with in general the younger people are the less of an issue they have with it.

I keep seeing this mentioned as a solution, however, I’m not sure you can have a fair competition where there are different rules for different teams. Simple solution in most cases is play your strongest team first time around, maybe some more attacking football and go for it, win the first game then you don’t need a replay. Especially if you’re a team who is safe in the PL go and try and win something!

Much more sensible, reminds me of KP when they first came in and removed Nigel for Sousa and the Sven, before realising you don’t need big names in this division. Mowbray is good enough to get them towards the play offs again, not this season but a good choice if allowed to build now for next season.

Bad idea to loan him to a Championship club and strengthen our rivals… No not Cardiff, we’ve played them twice all of our rivals have to play them again and will be strengthened by Cardiff having Ward in goal.

Do we have the option to buy at the end of the season? Or any idea how much he would go for? I really think he will push on and be a key player for us, he’s probably been judged a bit harshly so far, but we are starting to see signs of the player we thought we were signing in the summer. Now with Ndidi out, I expect him to play most games and this is where we will see what he’s capable of.

Hermansen Ricardo Vestergaard Faes JJ Winks KDH Casadei Fatawu Cannon Mavadidi Bench: Stolarczyk, Coady, Choudhury, Doyle, Yunus, Albrighton, Nelson, Marcal, Maswanhise - unless McAteer, Praet or Vardy are back fit. They will come and attack, but if we can keep Wright quiet that should suit us. I’m going confidently for a 4-2 win here, including a Cannon Hattrick.
