I'd usually agree about experience, but i feel there is enough in the squad. There would be Winks, Ricardo, Justin involved around them with experience...before any of players withing the squad are mentioned. From the three teams who got promoted last season there wasn't a center back who started the season over 30.

I'm not 100% sure on Souttar's return date, but it means we won't be selling him in the summer. There's plenty of experience in the squad already, so moving on a couple of 30+ year olds wouldn't be the end of it.

Problem is the three of them will have being on 200k a week in total. So if we get the chance to move them on we probably just have to do it. Still leaves Souttar, Okoli and Nelson if we moved all three on.

You would save on his wages, but overall you would lose if you sold for much less than his book value. If you sold for 10 million for example, but worth 20 on the books you wouldn't make back the 10 million in wages so you lose more on PSR.

If we say it was 25 million on a 5 year deal...he is worth 20 million now, or 5 million a year in the clubs books. When you sell a play the remaining value is taken into account, not the yearly money on the clubs books (or wages.) So if we sell him for 20 million we break even. If we sell him for anything less we actually come out of it worse in a PSR sense. This is where buy cheap with potential is the best way to buy players, unless you have loads of home grown talent to sell on. There's talk of Ricardo playing in midfield and Kristiansen leaving, so we may need another full back. The players I put on the list was more to show there are decent enough players, that may be enough for the championship I could of put Tomiyasu, Jovic, KWP, Doucouré, Wilson as a list, but I wanted to be realistic for players we could possibly pick up.

I didn't want to put too many on here, but there's maybe 10 or so that could be worth picking up. Holgate was an idea for a squad place if we managed to move Coady, Faes and Vesty on (Won't happen though!)

I'd disagree a little here. I feel there is a few free transfers that would be pretty sensible signings (if they would come here with sensible wages) This is without looking at people without 'english experience' and also under 30, who may not want the daft money an Ings, DCL, Wilson would want. Josh Brownhill Sergio Reguilón Tyrhys Dolan Mason Holgate Add in an older goalkeeper like the Begovic rumour and we are left with money to spend on a forward.

Chelsea do this with managers to avoid the pay offs. I'm sure they keep paying wages till the manager finds a new job, rather than the big pay off, which is why Potter went so long without going back into work.

Did that last season and it didn't work. At least this time we look to be getting a manager in who set ups similar to Enzo and plays youth.
