I'm really annoyed about his immaturity with social media. We have been good to him through his injury and he was then offered and was happy to sign a new contract on clearly more wages. Given we are all over the media this window with fabricated stories and bad press about our finances, players wanting to leave etc etc. It's not helping **** all that he is playing games on social media. Reminds me of a 14 year old who puts stupid status's on social media for attention and reaction. It's causing unessesary attention at a time we have lost Kasper and are getting ready to start the season. If I was Top I would be very pissed off with him. I'm sure given the values he has that professionalism is a must. Signs he hasn't grown up since being here, his behaviour is damaging for the club at a tricky time. He's a professional looked up to by many people including children. Lead by example, keep your shit in house.

You think in 2 season they will catch the current top 6? Big call that. They will need to invest 400 to 500m and double their wages to even try. How many of their players would make it into the top 6 teams? Also their revenue is not near the top 6, they don't have the global commercial income. Will take many many years to continually be in that group of teams.

I really like Ricardo. On form I think he slightly edges both Castagne and Justin although Justin has the bigger ceiling to develop. We are in good shape for full backs. Maddison is best as a 10 and centre will roam to switch across the front. What I meant by Tielemans is if he is close to leaving it's pointless starting him. I dont think we will miss him as much as people think. He's technically 1st class but he is slow as a donkey and that hurts in the prem league. Would be class in Italy where teams don't play the press as hard. If we keep Praet and Soumare we are ok in the middle. The gapping weakness is the right wing / attacker place. If we do manage to shift a few this is the most important position to invest in, if we don't, I'm sure Albrighton will turn up as he always has.

Seems a shambles internally. But Newcastle have high ambitions, they need better players and will know they can't yet poach from top of the table clubs, guess we're in the next bracket they feel they can purchase our best players. I think they aren't as attractive as they think... yet. They haven't done any great business and will want a marquee singing to show progress to their fans.

Assuming Percy was the 1st to break this, the club must of leaked the news to him. Doesn't make sense, either they intend to start a bidding war for Maddison or they try to appease the fan base by showing it was instantly declined. Some sources say Newcastle are unhappy with the public leak leading to it probably being us that leaked it to Percy. Or Maddison's agent leaked it looking for a new contract. Either way, would be the worse decision we could make to sell him.
