After we scored (and before) - they were on the ropes. We looked like winners. Then it all when to ****. We looked like we were playing for penalties. Maybe getting good at penalties is the worst thing that happened to us. As an aside - I thought Spain's winning goal was a thing of absolute beauty. Exactly the sort of goal I love. You can't defend against that.

I wouldn't mind if Southgate stayed in some capacity - psychologist maybe - because he has given us a more coherent and united squad than he inherited. But bloody hell he needs some assistance - from someone who can tell him "OI - SOUTHGATE - NO!!".

I extremely excited about this, I reckon it will be a classic final. I was 3 months old last time England won a major tournament. I've waited long enough. The Euros isn't close to the World Cup, but it will do nicely for the time being.

Agree - but it's only a "might" trade FA Cup for a Euro (I definitely wouldn't - club over country all day). The Euros are nowhere near the World Cup in importance. I'd trade one of our League cups for the Euros. I wouldn't trade our league win for anything else in all of sport - and not much in life.

It's odd, but I do think we'll beat the side that has beaten France (who beat Portugal and Belgium) and Germany (who beat Kasper). Not because we are better than any of those sides, but because we are blessed with Gareth's massive luck - and some pretty good footballers.

Would have chosen Spain out of any of the difficult half of the draw. Germany or France would have beaten us. We've a decent chance v Spain - despite them being the best side.
