  1. An xg above 1 . And we've created at least another 2/3 great moments, just the very final ball sometimes letting us down
  2. Best game of football I've seen in ages
  3. Absolutely sublime from Skipp
  4. Brilliant goal and that's after we blew the quick break.
  5. One of my pet peeves. Like you, I don't understand how they can't be better. Only the absolute best of the best can get away with it and they still use the weaker foot when needed. Obviously he was/is pretty one footed but it's massively overblown just how much. Page looks much more 1 footed than KDH but he's also clearly a better technician and his balance/agility will allow his to shift it onto his left without slowing things down too much.
  6. I'm hoping that's sarcastic or you just haven't seen him play? If there's one thing that might hold him back on current showings, it's that he's incredibly one footed (left footed to be clear! )
  7. Being aware of the longer term implications is hardly moaning is it? Every time we win a game it's greeted with derision that the manager will get a stay of execution for a number of games. I'd rather Monga be playing and getting more experience, and building up his confidence rather than a guy who is obstructing his development whilst being absolutely garbage this season.
  8. Great goal but annoying that he's playing instead of Monga as that will probably see Monga on the bench for the next 5 games
  9. Thanks for starting a new thread on the back of high quality 'journalism', that shares lots of new information and opinions
  10. Huh? I didn't say you did think those things did I? Think you might have taken it the wrong way. Was just explaining why he gets all this hate from some. But I don't think he did an ok job when he commited multiple big errors, much like Thomas did against Sheffield United
  11. Ironically, it's probably fueled by this kind of ignorance (don't mean than in an offensive way, just can't think of a better word!). The amount of off the field incidents, multiple games we've lost where he's been laughing and joking with the opposition, the fact he's never been good enough for us and that he's always been on a huge wedge vs his ability, and reasons why. You've then got people who blindly defend him no matter what. Thomas has been an abomination, and yes Hamza was played in an unfamiliar role, but his performance was extremely poor. Hypocrisy for him to be calling for focus from his teammates when he had multiple brainfades last night, lucky that a couple didn't lead to goals. Even for there goal, whilst it certainly wasn't his fault, looks at his positioning compared to the defensive line. Unfortunately that happened multiple times. He should be decent at this level but unfortunately he's symbolical of a lot of this club's failings in recent years.
  12. This is a bit of a myth. He'll charge around for a bit and fly into a tackle so can't deny that. But then when it really matters, he walks around and completely switches, not even putting in the bear minimum effort required. Effort means staying switched on at all times. He just wants to put effort in when it suits him.
  13. Well he was somehow as bad as Thomas. He's just got no discipline to every aspect of his game and that's what holds him back more than anything.
  14. Disagree. For a modern keeper, he's very good. I think that says more about modern goalkeeping than his ability but it's all relative. At least he generally makes a decision when he comes to the ball and sticks to it
  15. Monga was pretty poor but some flashes. Yet, he was still miles better than Stephy was and because of that assist, Mavididi probably straight back in
  16. So undeserved. And worse because Mavididi has been total cack and will be back ok for Monga (not like he was great but miles better than Stephy has been for weeks)
  17. He actually is though which is saying a lot
  18. No, Thomas is crap and Hamza even worse
  19. Not heard that one before! Whilst this is true, they are embarrassingly isolated. Monga got the ball zipped out to him and he has 4 Albion players nearby and not a teammate in sight. Makes it so easy to defend them even if they have great 1 on 1 ability
  20. Hamza's positioning is abysmal. It's exactly why he doesn't get picked in the holding role any more
  21. Defensive positioning there was absolutely shocking
  22. And yet he's still done more than Mavididi has done recently
  23. To be fair, the speed and regularity in which the ball goes forward has changed massively since Nelson has come in. But that stat is disgusting. Would make sense if it was Enzo's team but it's not like we dominate the ball
