Jesus Christ. An actual team move of quality
-
If it's unopened that could be a great way to crack it (quite expensive mind you)
-
What a waste of time. He's playing major catch-up and almost certainly would have been an important player for us (if he could handle the physicality) if not for injuries. To have him at 22 never having played higher than L2 is tragic. What if things don't go well for him at Chesterfield? Will be viewed as a League 2 player at best when he could be much better than that, as the environment is key to a good loan spell.
-
Not got the discipline to play that role for us. And in terms of on the ball ability, I think it was really highlighted when he a lot of time on the ball to ping it out to Fatawu and somehow he managed to just float it up there which allowed the fullback to win a header, when a decent pass doesn't even allow the fullback into play. That's an example of where things can look decent (if it went straight to his man) but the difference between being able to zip it out there and float one (which most of us could do) are what decent passer of the ball can do.

I know Monga hasn't been amazing when he's come on but he should absolutely be ahead of Mavididi now. Crap performance, one after another should mean he's benched for 5-10 games minimum.
-
Played plenty of forward passes? Even some of those 'sideways' ones were super quick and sprayed out into space in a way no other player can do for us.
-
Even through the Luke tinted glasses Marti must have seen how cack he was tonight. To not bring Aluko on in his place was criminal
-
You were talking about his performance today and used the manager's decision making to back up your argument which isn't very credible. Been crap most of his time here but if you think he's only had 2 games recently where he's 'been good enough', then that's just silly (almost as silly as us paying £20m+ for him)
-
Needs to work on his right foot and then he's got serious potential
-
Yeah because this manager's decisions are spot on aren't they?
-
Booking for that with what he's let go the other way . We're shite but these things make it worse
-
Eh? He was about the only player that actually tried today. None of his teammates trying or being able to pass a football are his fault. Him and Nelson the only performances at an ok standard.
-
My apathy have staved off my desire to see him gone but this is just bollocks again. Those subs sum up that he has no clue
-
Hahaha
-
Yeah only a couple that have been even ok but these 2 have been a total liability
-
Mavididi and BDR got to be hooked
-
How the f has Soumare not been booked. Small things like that can have a big impact as he can't make tackles like he did on Skipp because of the risk
-
Pathetic as per. Couple of players trying but that's it. Watching the replay, 4 players unmarked that are goalside. Never seen that
-
So basically relying on Skipp to be the only guy putting any pressure on the ball and Nelson to be in the correct position every time. Solid plan
-
Think your keyboard might be broken
-
With you on this. Has a pretty good delivery

There's no redemption for them. That would require us to return to being clearly the best of the rest in the PL, challenging the Top 4, having a young squad worth 100's of millions etc. They driven us so low in such a short space of time, that returning us to a yo-yo club or even a lower PL team is not good enough from where they were. They've also dragged the club's name through the mud with their inept financial management. A new owner gets a fresh start and we might be content with those kinds of positions, but not under this regime.

The “I came through the Leicester City academy” XI
dmayne7 replied to Sly's topic in Leicester City Forum
Failed with the very first player . VJ was not an academy player and in fact we only got him when he was 20 or very close to it. I know you've missed a few but that list sums up how crap our academy has actually been until recent years. -
Hate to break it to you but that's pretty much been every player in the existence of this football club. Understand the point on his lack of on the ball influence but you're comparing Apples (Skipp) to Oranges (Winks). His role whilst the deepest is to cover defensively and help move the ball on when he can, whereas Winks' was to dictate play. Reality is, he's having far more influence on the game than Winks has been doing this season, by doing his main job
-
On his performance today, 2 accurate statements, 1 extremely inaccurate. He was absolutely dire in terms of his quality today but he gets some leeway as he absolutely worked his socks off. Not sure how anyone could watch that and think different. Monga got to be in for him now and given a run of games.
