Good move for all parties really. He gets a clean slate and 6m to earn a permanent move to Monaco and we get a player who doesn’t want to be here and some cash off the books.

If they dont buy him he is back on our books running his contract down.  We should have told his agent to find a buyer if he wants games b4 the world cup

Because we are in the bottom 2 for distance covered and sprints, coupled with and are constantly 2nd best in duels …… basically we are lazy and get out worked and out battled in most if not every game. It’s disgusting

    Is it a futness issue?

I think ee are poor arcdefebdibg set pieces and our fullbacks dont stop the crosses

Going down to League 2 is a reality check. We still had support for those who took us there even at that time. They had others to blame. Some people just can't bring themselves to admit they're wrong on something. We had to wait until we were taken out of our city for home games for the second time. There were some right good excuses for them for putting us into administration and a points deduction to get out of a contract.

We've done it the right way with a bit of luck on the way. Run as close to your budget as you can and build over a few seasons. Reinvest what comes in. Our overspending led us to the wilderness for nearly 20 years. In that time I've seen several more clubs go the same way.

Administration used to be a word used in football. Now it comes with a cost. That's relegation normally for starters. 12 points for the administration. Football debts must be paid on time or it's more points lost. Missing a payday by a few days? Risking another 6 points. So I don't agree with those who say they'd take administration to get rid of Top. That's instantly on the slippery slope. Nobody to pay the inflated wages so looking at 2 quick points deductions. Squad decimated for the next season. IIRC you were the last club to go into administration before the points deduction came in. It's a different ball game now.

Its not impossible  that we enter administration.  hmrc will not give clubs a pass.  Kp will not bail lcfc out.

Administration would shake the creditors and top....  its not all bad!

I am really shocked that the club didn’t decide to sack Marti after the Sheffield United debacle and use it as an opportunity to put Kingy in temp charge and try to put the pressure on for fans to attend by saying we have done something plus using the emotional ties that Kingy has with the fanbase.

There is a vacuum - plus they may not have the cash to do so.

Not idea how these injuries will affect him but ability wise, Souttar is a brilliant defender at this level.

if so then he has hidden it well.  Stoke didn't rate him and his brief spots here were poor.

  6. "oliver" was wise to position the protest as demand the owner and board improve their performance - as this can be support by both KP in and kp out fans.  Pugilist aside, I think most KP in fans do accept that the management of the club is appalling.

We’ve got an incompetent owner, who has neglected the football club to the point where it’s drifted.

He’s left a trolley boy in charge, who’s woefully under qualified to perform his role, leading in the mismanagement of contracts and finances, leading to multiple PSR breaches which are now coming to ahead.

With these contracts we hamstring ourselves into paying big wages for below average players who we then can’t sell on due to them massively losing value, leading to major losses.

We’ve lost the one good member of the boardroom, and haven’t replaced them.

Our owner thinks he can appease the fans with empty words, propaganda and freebies (who cares to work for some), but seldom do we see any actual action.

The financial woes have resulted in the club becoming terrified to make any investments through fear of repercussions, but it’s all entirely their own fault.

We’re now in a position where we can’t offer up any meaningful investment, we’ve clearly got an owner who’s lost interest and clinging onto the club to salvage memories of his late father….. we’re now regressing and will continue to regress until Too has finally let all of the life drain out of the club, by then it could be all to late to turn around, the value of the club will be on its arse, and no serious consortium will take it on. We will just become a shrine to that team that once achieved he unimaginable, but couldn’t sustain even a period of mediocrity after, let alone further long term success.

So in a nutshell, we’re shit because of ourselves, and it’s going to be a whole lot worse before there a chance of it getting better…..

Agree.  I would add that kimg power is in trouble... they have sidelined top (as he is incompitent).  They have stopped cashflowing the club.

  9. If Top is not prepared to take  managng the club seriously then he must sell to someone who will.  Top is the problem clearly.

Despite his half hearted pr push he remains disconnected... fiddling while Rome burns.  I thought he would try to put things right yet now i doubt he will do so.

My real concern is that he will not sell yet leave the club paralised and drifting.

    Exactly this.

And what do we know about Thai culture? That 'respect' is big but is actually a byphrase for genuflection. You only respect upwards and in his eyes we're below him.

He will be utterly baffled that the scruffy tramps in the stands dare to question his judgement. He's not going to come to some realisation; it's just a steady decline into oblivion.

I believe he will only act when he is ridiculed on thai social media...

Making a fool of himself, not up to it ,   lacking the balls to change his advisors... out of his depth.

What is the plan for our club as a business this season?

    1) To draw a line under the FFP sanctions, and not get back in the same mess.

    2) To get the playing staff wage bill under control by selling the expensive ones and winding down contracts.

    3) To not get relegated by the points deduction, and to sneak into the promotion slots if possible.

    4) To have a manager willing to work with what he has got and the youth team, and all on a shoestring. If it isn't Marti then it will be someone else like him, or worse like RVN

This sort of restructuring is going to be the same with or without KP in charge, and it is unlikely to produce scintillating football on the pitch.

What interests me as a season ticket holder and active supporter is seeing some sort of long term strategy beyond fixing the finances. We won't really know if there is until the end of the season and the summer window, but I expect it to be a slow rebuild in the Championship over several seasons. There is no magic wand.

Brother   it would start by clearing out the board and advisors.  I cant imagine that rudkin or herilhy can play a part.

I would add 5.  To rebuild the confidence of the fans

It’s come to the point where if I ever meet a Leicester fan again I’m gonna ask them if they were KP in or out. Even in 20 years if they’re KPFC as far as I’m concerned they’re essentially a Cov or Forest fan to me. We don’t support the same thing.

On top of the mismanagememt of the club (driven by the retention of poor quality execs) i despise the controlling nature of the club and its tickbox fan engagement.

Right now the only way back for top is a complete clearout of the board and a programme to rebiild the relationship with the fans.  So there is a route for his redemption... but i doubt he will take it.

Like you i cannot understand those who do not call out tops failure.   They are not fans.

  13. No one can think the club is well run or that mistakes arent being made.

    No one... including Top.

It is not unreasonable to ask  what Top is going to do.... if he does nothing then he can expect critisism.

Anyone think his current response is good enough?

This mindset implies recognition that they currently have an image problem.

They have no idea,  Top needs professional help to repair his own reputation - the PR is amature and patronising.  I beleive that  the only thing that will wake him up is ridicule on bangkok social mediaL "he is making himself look a fool", "way outof his depth"," relying on amateur idiots and he is too dumb to relaise"

There seems to be this weird behaviour with some supporters that think supporting the club through bad times is a badge of honour.

Supporting the team through a bad patch of form is fine, this is totally different. This is supporting ownership and senior leadership who clearly don't give two sh!ts about the average supporter, or the day-to-day employees of the club, and the only way to make them listen is by hitting their pockets (or starting up a polo team).

I wasn't going anyway because I'm being forced to go to IKEA.

    Correct
