  1. I had that - turns out it was because I was grinding my teeth in my sleep - bruxism
  2. Got a letter yesterday from HMRC telling me they had reassesed my tax codes and that they had: 1) written to my accountant from years ago telling them my personal tax allowance for 2012/13 was reduced by £6000 to £2000. 2) written to my current employer to tell them I have no personal tax allowance for my current job and to tax me at a flat 40% So 35 mins of listening to muzak later and when the HMRC officer finally answered she immediately re-coded me to a normal £8K personal allowance tax code for my current job Today - opened my payslip and my employer had very diligently taxed me at 40% - apparently they assumed I either had pension income (at 38?) or another primary job (despite being a full-time employee) and couldn't be arsed to check with me why my circumstances had changed Luckily HMRC will refund me a good few hundred quid in some future tax year at a rate of not very much per week Does anybody want to buy my Leeds tickets?
  3. He'd love that! Shame there's only two of us singing, two of us singing, there's only two of us singing.
  4. Family stand 2012/13 - Leicester's blue and white!
  5. You're getting confused with the delusional bus! Optimism is not about disregarding the blindingly obvious... To be fair to us optimists we only attempt to draw positives out of a given scenario, after many years following LCFC I've had plenty of practice. we're only trying to have a refuge here from the doom and gloom. Research indicates that optimism is a trait of intelligent people
  6. This man is a realist: This is his wife: This is his life: Reality? - it sucks - live for tomorrow - it could be a brighter day, you never know COYB - good win on tuesday night please! :scarf:
  7. Yep, just that very faint glimmer - come on lads turn in some exciting performances these last few matches even if just for pride - we all need a pick me up Let's all have a good break and come August we turn the corner and kick off the new season with steely determination to give our club the results we deserve - with standing room only on the bus
  8. Site is not quite ready but they are available here: http://suckmyballs.co.uk/
  9. No, I'm an optimist, if you don't get it, get off the bus For all realists - please consider booking yourselves on to my forthcoming seminar: "The path from realism to optimism - enjoy supporting LCFC" - bargain at only £9,999.99 There's an infomercial on Sky channel 967 presented by foxhateram or call "0800 suck-my-optimistic-balls" - our operators are ready to take your credit card details - or like us on Facebook at facebook.com/kissmyoptimisticballsack - and now on twitter @mylifeisgreatcomeonyoublues
  10. Aaah - here come the pessimists - what a surprise
  11. Time to park the optimism for 90 minutes and unleash the dark side... Come on you blue boys - it's payback time - humiliate them, annihilate them, destroy them We are Leicester, Super Leicester, No one hates us, we don't care
  12. Used to like a jar or six in them days so my memory is patchy to say the least! Fair points although I felt it was MON who turned it around on pure managerial talent rather than bad fan reaction. In them days I hated Wolves (walshy v bull and all that) and the whole McGhee thing hurt bad. An example of how the team goes to shit when there is high turnover of managers, lets hope we get some stability now
  13. Can't shake this feeling of de ja vu for those mid 90s years - at least on the bus I am politely described as "excitable" rather than the invective that optimism sometimes meets on other threads
  14. Anybody care to admit to booing MON at that match? I am always am optimist where LCFC is concerned but surely the football gods have deemed City shall prevail in this run-in - I am *so* on the bus right now!
  15. I'm not sure I trust my memory but didn't the boo boys have a pop at O'Neill in 96?
  16. Good call - I think after nearly twenty years my brain is creating it's own version of club history
  17. Stevie Walsh and his fvcked up knee up front, team of centre backs! everybody waiting for us to fail - those devastating trips to Wembley in the two years before - never won at wembley Makes this year's problems look like a walk in the park - gotta be on the bus for this run-in - this is Leicester - this is football - we can do it!
  18. Echoes of 94 I hope, an unexpected late surge with a good run stealing in at the death E.I.E.I.E.I.O
  19. Optimism is for life - not just for the run-in
  20. Hey, sounds great - is seat allocation by lottery or first come, first served? Will it eject frozen lumps of urine mid-flight on to the cars and houses of pessimists and Derby fans as well - would bring a new meaning to the phrase - "it never rains - it pisses it down" - miserable buggers
  21. Bus looks fine to me - (that coach is clearly photoshopped)
  22. I'm still optimistic 2012/13 will be our season! COYB - Leicester till I die
  23. Got some diesel for the bus - didn't even have to queue - good omen if ever there was one COYB :scarf: :scarf:
