  1. But then what happens when little changes (or gets worse)? Do they push further? Thinking that European bureaucracy is the barrier to all this country thriving is so stupid, it barely feels worth engaging with but here we are. I get that people are massively disenfranchised, I’m on the left I genuinely would struggle to vote for any of the parties in a way other than tactically.
  2. Interesting analysis of the minerals deal from a pro-Ukrainian and a good author. Basically it signs away Ukraine’s sovereignty.
  3. They won’t be able to fix any of that either unless they go full on fascist which I doubt.
  4. They’re playing terribly and have been worked out. They’ll beat us but Palace away will be difficult and West Ham could still do a job on them. Remember our run in 2019/20 and the season after, it’s very similar.
  5. With the current state of play I think an economically left wing approach would be very popular. Reform are going to sweep votes because a large proportion of the country think that migration is to blame for all of this country’s problems. To a certain degree I think it is an issue but on the basis that it’s a symptom of the broken system. They’ll soon get a shock when things remain the same or get even worse. The economy as it is cannot run without migration.
  6. That’s a spawny goal as well 🤣
  7. Do England have six teams in the champions league if one of them win this?
  8. That should not be a penalty or a red card. Hjoland has already missed the ball.
  9. Can’t believe one of these appalling teams is going to be in the champions league next season.
  10. Yup I’d go same team but Scriven in for Walker. Adds batting depth and a better bowler.
  11. Waltz was one of the more Ukraine friendly picks.
  12. You can create a decent highlight reel of Meslier howlers. You can’t do the same for Mads. End of story.
  13. Disgusting lack of respect for Mads. Meslier is horrendous.
  14. They hadn’t won in their first 13 games last season when he took over and were way adrift. They finished comfortably outside of the drop zone. He’s turned them into mid-table obscurity from cannon fodder with a poor squad and a terrible owner.
  15. A lot of the deposits are under Russian occupation from what I read. Seems like the whole thing is to keep Trump invested but I think it’s pretty clear now that he prefers a better relationship with Russia over supporting Ukraine to win the war. Some will say it’s immoral, others will argue pragmatism/realism, then others will just call him a Russian asset.
  16. I believe the arms supplies will come from funds raised by the agreement rather than donations as what happened before. So nothing will change really, except Ukraine will be getting less US weaponry unless Europeans buy it for them but I can’t see that going down well when welfare spending is being cut across the board. To be honest the mineral deal is bad for Ukranian sovereignty.
  17. I was thinking along these lines today. North Lincolnshire just had two local crises. The first, they didn’t want RAF Scampton being turned into a migrant camp, the second, the Scunthorpe steelworks issue. Labour solved both of these issues in a way which greatly benefits the locals wishes. Yet they’re about to elect a reform council and mayor today. So the point is, even government decisions which panders to the people on the social right, is not enough. So why pander at all. Stick with your values.
  18. Has there been a better game of top level football played in the past 10 years? 2022 World Cup final aside
  19. That away end 😍 That is unbelievable by the way
  20. Ronnie doesn’t look great either though? It’s looking good for Trump.
  21. The commentators are being incredibly unfair on this referee. The players are much worse.
  22. Yes! By likeable I still mean bankrolled by theocratic oil thugs but the best product of the theocratic oil thugs. The fans seem to be decent too
  23. PSG going full circle into one of the most likeable teams in Europe is a tale for the ages.
  24. A lot seems to have been put on Trump but surely a lot of people were just tired of Trudeau too?
  25. Think we were all sleeping on Brecel. His game v Trump could be one of the best ever.
