No he was at Notts academy until he was 13 and and was already a huge prospect he bowled Ben Stokes in the nets when he was 11.Left Notts because his dad had a fall out with the Notts coaching staff.Notts still receive payment when he plays for England.

England Lions play SA at Worcester tomorrow and on Tuesday the crowds for both games will be around 800\900 despite ticket prices being twice the price. Dread to think how many will turn up apart from myself for the England under 19 game at the end of the month. Just hope plenty of mums and dad's turn up to break the 100 mark.

Freddie Flintoff was moaning about the lack of a crowd at GR yesterday England Lions v South Africa a fiver to get in plenty of test players on view and barely 100 in the ground. The club get a good few grand to host these games there's a real danger the ECB will stop awarding fixtures at GR if things don't improve.

Few players have played over the years after playing for the 2nds who haven't been on contract.Chris Thompson ex Surrey Preston Mommsen David Sayer etc.Michael Thornley wasn't on contract when he made his debut.He scored 100 in first innings 97 in second innings and was rewarded with a 2 year contract.Barely scored a run after that.
