I’m just curious as to why people are always so obsessed with shots on target like they really mean anything? I mean you could have a grubby mis-hit shot dribble to the goalie and there you have it +1 shot on target. Or have a curling shot leave the keeper stranded, crash of the underside of the bar and get cleared no shot on target. Have a shot that gets blocked going on target towards goal… no shot on target. It a meaningless stat to get angry about. All this Leeds deserved the win, with their six shots on target, they had one goal and caused Mads one mediocre save. With our one shot on target a worldie save. I thought it was pretty even affair with Leeds taking a bit of luck. A 0-0 or 1-1 would have been a fair result.

I can’t work out whether it’s a good thing them coming into the game after a good win and us having a close, not so good game?

I’m very much getting Ramsdale/Pickford vibes from their goalie.

Our GD is getting silly, we now have +12 on third placed Leeds… in 12 games! Only Ipswich are even close.

It’s almost unfair for the rest of them…

I just feel every game this season will give us a new ‘most/least’ stat! We have no the best 12 game start to a Championship season!

It also nicely shows how Wilf made the perfect decision. If he had taken the shot on he would most likely have hit either the defender or goalie or blazed it over. Whereas Vardy is basically unmarked with an open goal. Nice work from our CDM!

Such an odd point of view imo. Firstly 6 teams have finished and we still beat 5 of them. Secondly at least twice in every match we play we (usually KDH) misses a one-on-one and have a shot blocked near the goal and flash one wide of the post. Are these us letting teams off? Or just natural parts of the game? I think all fans look more critically at their own team, but I’m sure we’ve had plenty more ‘moments’ than our opponents.
