Hypothetical Question: If we sacked Enzo today and replaced him with Rooney; could he get us promoted? I just don’t know, is it even possible to fail from where we are now? But then Rooney is quite bad?

TBF it’s how I feel about Man City. So boring to watch, because I’m neutral (or if we’re playing them, against them) and them stifling the opposition crates a sterile game (on purpose). But as a fan with a vested interest I find watching Enzo-ball fascinating, and it being effective (see table) makes it all the more sweeter.

Our GD, GF and GA columns are getting a bit embarrassing now…

It’s almost like we don’t want them to be constantly injured… unlike other regimes we could mention! I can guarantee if he was brought on there would have been howls of derision in the Match thread about us defending a 1-0 lead and ‘negative football’. But yes it was just what we needed to better control the middle of the park more.

I liked the way they started off optimistically - ‘it we can hold out we might nick a goal’ and eventually ended up stating no-one can defend against us - ‘if they cover the wingers our 8’s will get in and vice versa!’

To take this away from all the Puel In/Out debate; let’s look at all the crazy negative streaks that we as a club have helped to end this season and the many seasons before: Long not scoring for 34 games ✅ Newport not beating top flight opposition for 54 years ✅ Cardiff not winning away all season ✅ Crystal Palace not winning when Zaha doesn’t play ✅ I’m sure there are many more, infact I’m sure Morata scores against us last season! Prediction for the future: Burley getting a penalty against us.
