  1. My sister just got talktalk broadband and has connected the modem via USB. Is it worth buying a network card to let her use ethernet instead?
  2. My cat dissapeared 2 years ago, don't know where she went or what has happened to her. I have been thinking about setting up a fund...
  3. Half right...! The thing with the green cover is the main fan, the grey box is the power supply (although it has a small fan on it) this fan is making a loud noise and sounds as though it is failing.....looks a bugger to replace though need to unclip AC/DC cables from each component etc, unscrew the supply etc etc
  4. http://www.hardwarecentral.com/graphics/sc...5486dimd521.jpg Right, bottom left of the case you see that grey box? WHAT IS IT?
  5. Was always going to happen...
  6. True...but 3 pages on a girl who has been missing for about 3 weeks...and then 3 lines on someone who has just been killed the previous day?
  7. When I opened the mercury and saw that they were selling the bands...I thought "**** off" A 3 page report on her and how you can 'do your bit' Then on about the 6th page there are 3 lines with news that somebody died when they crashed into a skip.
  8. There's only so long the news coverage can cut to a reporter in Portugal to say "No developments, although they are following leads and doing the best they can".
  9. That eyeglass thing is a good idea because it shows how apparent that pupil leakage thing is
  10. There have been about 50 reported sighting haven't there? Why not round up every blonde girl who looks about 4? Would be more effective I reckon. If she has left Portugal (which I assume she has) it'd make it virtually impossible to find her. At least she might be old enough to know what's happening to her so she could get help? Or are 4 year old's not that bright?
  11. Of course I want her to be found alive and well - but all I'm saying is why should she be the 'special one' to get intense worldwide media coverage, appeals from celebrities, millions of pounds in reward money, videos being played at football matches etc etc etc. As phube said - if she were frogmella ( ) would she have had the same coverage? NO.
  12. Jesus christ. Not sure if anyone else has seen this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6668479.stm what ever next?
  13. And put a star on your msn name. Everyone still got their turtle for steve irwin?
  14. I really really really cannot see why this is STILL in the news and is pretty much part of the main headlines. As someone else mentioned, i'm sure her being a pretty middle class toddler has some bearing on it, but I doubt the london bombings had this much coverage!? What about the tsunami which killed thousands and thousands of people and ruined entire countries? The fund...the reward money...its getting ridiculous. Why should one person receive so much attention, when (much worse things happen) everyday in every part of the world. Just think it's so unfair that there is media attention from around the world so there is a much better chance of finding her than any of the other young people that go missing. How must other families who have lost their kids be feeling? P*ssed off id guess
  15. An adult is responsible for their own safety but you cannot rely on a 4 year old kid knowing what to do and what not to do.
  16. I need to reinstall windows but my CD-ROM drive is shite and doesn't read the disks, If I put the xp disk into the dvd drive the computer won't recognise it when I restart. I looked in the BIOS boot up order but the dvd drive isn't there, just the hard drive, the cd drive and a couple of others im buggered
  17. Ok, here goes. I have a 40gb external hard drive and it came formatted in FAT32. I tried to convert it into NTFS but then realised the device didn't support it, anyway I managed to reformat it into FAT32, but I had to create 2 partitions as XP says FAT32 can only go up to 20gb. The device came formatted in FAT32 on one partition...so it can be done.. I just don't know how... thanks EDIT: FOUND A VERY USEFUL PROG, CompuApps SwissKnife V3 VERY FAST QUICK AND EAST FORMAT.
  18. I had that when I was installing some new USB ports. You have to try and update your computer drivers (not usb ports etc, i mean drivers for the internal stuff) I also have a problem, well not really a problem, more a query. How can I find out how long I have had my windows running for?
  19. Wow i do want that
