Woke up to the living room being 18c. Felt cool, but with the sun out all day it should warm the house nicely. Windows open for a bit to get some fresh air in.

In regards to the route that flight took - it looks to me (no expert on ADS-B transponders) that they switched their transponder off and took a divert over Russia. The grey lines are the FlightRadar app joining the dots, so not the actual route taken. Odd that they’d flick the transponder on over Russia for half an hour or so. Edit to add - I reckon the data’s been tampered with. The “diversion” entry and exits are too precise and line up, so I don’t think it made its way over to Russia.

Didn’t he rise to criticism last season on social media? I assumed his celebration was down to him spending too much time online worrying about what people think of him.

Went for my session this evening after having it postponed a few times over the summer. Was a fantastic experience and ended up being offered the opportunity to be a member of the team as an instructor

Was the first time in a very long time where we’d go a goal down and I wouldn’t really care, because we had the right character to get back in it and often did.

I work from home permanently now and much prefer it. I’m a developer, so I benefit from my own desk setup (the more monitors the better) as well as peace and quiet. When I say peace and quiet, I mean the lack of people approaching my desk to log bugs / issues. It can be incredibly distracting and break any sort of flow / headspace I’m in. I also have the ability to go and hang the washing out, or load the dishwasher - both of which are usually quite useful as a change of scenery or task and often means I can tackle a problem I’m working on with a clear head, or I’ll have a eureka moment whilst doing said mundane house task. Also means from a work / life perspective I’m able to perform tasks which make a real difference to my home life. It’s not about taking the piss, it’s about being flexible. Bottom line is, I’m now paid to do a job which is quantifiable, not waste time commuting to a place of work to sit on my backside for 8 hours a day unnecessarily. I generally do aim to do my contracted hours, of course, but I feel more emphasis is on the work I’m producing as opposed to the time I take to do it, which is great.
