Woke at 1am to lightning here. No thunder or rain, just non stop lightning for over an hour.
-
Was alright actually. The house was about 25c inside, which felt notably cooler than outside. The problem was having the doors open all day with the moving of things that let the warm air in.
-
I’m moving tomorrow and the house I’m moving into has been locked for the past few weeks
-
I sat near a red brick wall yesterday and it felt like sitting next to a radiator so I guess our buildings being built of red bricks doesn’t help too.
-
According to the Metoffice, the relative humidity in my town is 20% right now. That’s low / dry isn’t it?
-
Sooner have a day like today but 24/25c. It’s too hot.

Same. I think 5am starts are going to be the only way. -

Do you use a HR strap? I think the performance thing on Garmin uses HR readings and HRV. I’ve found HR readings during runs are garbage from the watch itself. I’ve done intervals in which my heart rate has gone up and down too fast for the watch to even register it. -

Same. If I wake up and feel like shit, I’ll look at the sleep / stress data to confirm. Booze is a big one like you say, absolutely tanks all the scores. -

Yeah, HRV was pretty much cut in half. It looks as though I’ve had 10 pints . Feels that way too! -

Felt a bit ropey yesterday evening but had a 6 mile easy run planned. Gave it a go but had to stop on 5 miles as it felt way harder than it should’ve done, although wasn’t sure if it was the warm weather doing it. Felt grim and uncomfortable all night and woke up to this, which probably doesn’t mean much to non Garmin users but it’s not good - Few days off needed I think. -
I think it clashes with the open top bus parade for this -

Well, Tielemans goal is forgotten about.
-
My barber is a Villa fan and I said the other day how Tielemans hasn’t scored a proper goal yet. There it is.
-
Tielemans probably had just been eating chocolate mousse n all
-
To add to this, when we’d go a goal down it didn’t really matter as we knew we’d come back and have a go. Going a goal down didn’t mean the crowd would turn like they have the past few seasons, which I’ll add has been merited.

14 miles for myself today. Felt the last couple of miles, but glad to get the miles in. -
The atmosphere in the Etihad tonight is dreadful.

It will and already has I’ve found. Living behind enemy lines, I’d often see Leicester shirts until the last year or so. It’s all Coventry round here now, which makes me smile as their “boycott” must have included not wearing their shirts as well as not going to games.

I don’t think I had gait analysis myself. A lad at a sports shop in Warwick did a few checks and figured out I have over pronation and got me to try a few pairs on. Is gait analysis paid for and quite extensive? I agree with the try them and feel. The shop I went to encouraged trying them on a treadmill for the first few runs as if they’re not suitable they’re happy to replace them for another pair. I feel as though I’ve found my shoe though and I’m now too scared to change -

If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it - absolutely! -

With regards to shoe recommendations, isn’t important to get the right ones based on running style? I’d be worried about buying a shoe with good reviews / recommendations that would end up being no good for my style. -
Pretty sure Odegaard was bear hugging someone too

Had a go at a 5k PB yesterday, which I beat by 2 seconds (22:18). Annoying because I set my watch for a warm up then 3 miles flat out. I forgot to do the additional .1 miles, so it factored some of my warmup pace for the 5k. Heart rate absolutely rocketed at the end too, which concerned me. Felt fine or as fine as I expected to feel after that kind of effort. -
