Ex 33 really is a well made game. It wont be long until you are putting out enormous damage. So ive not played a huge amount over christmas. Arc Raiders is getting a little tedious but still enjoy it. I decided to get a couple of Switch games so i can play in bed instead of always staying up on PS5. I picked up Xenoblade Chronicles (never played this game series) and a game called Harvestella. Harvestella is what i decided to play first. Really good so far. I do enjoy games where you have quests to follow whilst also doing farming at your house to make money and craft stuff. Its a nice blend of action and relaxing.

Arc Raiders is getting boring now whilst waiting for the Expedition so i have tried out some other games. Played Still Wakes The Deep. Quite enjoyable for something that can be finished in just a few hours. Ive been wanting to play an RPG so ive downloaded Granblue Fantasy Relink. Never played a Granblue game. Only a couple of hours into it and enjoying it so far. Just hope the story keeps me interested

That's the beauty of Expedition 33. You feel like you can take on any fight cause you believe you have the parry/dodge mastered. Then you come up against what seems a weak fight and get your arse handed to you 🤣 It really is a beautifully made game.

So i have finished Metroid Prime 4. Ive been waiting years for this after absolutely loving MP3 Corruption on the Wii. Overall MP4 was good but not quite great. Visually its really nice but the level design was basic and too linear. Metroid is all about the big diverse map with interconnecting levels and having very little help in terms of direction. MP4 you cant get lost, NPCs direct you with where to go. Each level is branched off the central hub (being the desert) So there is no real exploring to do. The desert has very little to look at, which makes sense as it is a desert i suppose. The arsenal of weapons i also felt was very basic. Fire, Ice and Thunder. These have been done to death. Would have been nice to have got something new. Collecting these random green crystals in the desert is also boring with the final suit being an almost pointless thing to get. Previous games give a real sense of reward when you finally get the final suit but in this game there is no sense of achievement. Boss fights were decent though i found that using your arsenal of weapons didnt really benefit you more than just spamming the shoot button with the regular cannon. The Damage Per Second i found i did more damage with the regular cannon. So didn't really end up using the missiles or the elemental weapons. Which made me think they were pointless having them. Puzzles were the standard Metroid style which were good. Overall i still enjoyed the game. But i have no desire to try Hard Mode or getting 100% for the secret ending. I have already checked it on Youtube and to me its not worth the time or effort. Out of the 3D Metroid Games i would put my faves in order of MP3 Corruption MP1 MP4 MP2 (do not remember this game too much tbf so may deserve higher) If you love the Metroid series then i would say MP4 is good but that's as far as it goes.

Still playing Arc Raiders but i also picked up Metroid Prime 4 on Switch 2. The game that i brought the original Switch for 8 years ago Loving it so far. Its standard Metroid. The bike is cool. I saw reviews complaining about the NPCs being annoying but its not that bad. People just want to find something to moan about haha

I work from home so i am sneaking an hour first thing in the morning then an hour on my lunch break. Then i may get a couple of hours in the evening when kids are in bed and the wife is too busy watching murder programmes
