Wouldn’t surprise me in the next few years, the Champions League is being expanded, so once that’s to a certain level a Europa League/Cup Winners Cup is the next logical step
-
Pretty much, Bristol City are rock bottom of the WSL with their only wins this season being in the Conti Cup (3vs Championship teams; 1vs 2nd bottom of the WSL Aston Villa). West Ham are 3rd bottom, have recently changed managers and their would be best player Rachel Daly has gone back to the USA. Durham would probably be the toughest of the 3 despite being a Championship side, they’re yet to lose outright in any competition this season. No European competition though, even the FA Cup doesn’t get you that at the minute. Top 3 of the WSL qualify for Champions League but there’s no secondary competition.

There were a couple more “notable” names thrown about that didn’t end up signing that were considered “all but done”, not ground breaking or anything like what Man U did when they were in the Championship signing the likes of England’s Alex Greenwood but notable within the women’s game. One has ended up at Sheffield United (Courtney Sweetman-Kirk, Leicester local as it happens, ex-Liverpool, good goal scorer) and two have since retired (Jo Potter, England international; Fern Whelan, ex-Everton/Brighton, England international). Not sure of any others but it makes sense.

Some BT, some BBC/BBC Sport, some on the FA Player app/website

Didn’t want to start topics for individual transfers because the forum is traditionally for the men’s teams but I’ll keep this updated with any other transfers involving LCFC Women. In: Sophie Harris - Goalkeeper - From Watford, contract until 2022 - January 7th Out:

New signing, to back up Levell

Even better when you remember 90% of games are early afternoon on Sundays, the regulars at the local pub showing up for their roast dinner will love that
-
Yeah providing fans are allowed by law/covid tier they’d pretty much have to let the public in (Frank and the newts will love that), move could just be for whilst games are behind closed doors though and then back to Farley Way after
-
Believe so but those rules might not apply to any standing sections which is allowed in the WSL/Women’s Championship, of course the move could just be whilst everything’s behind closed doors/limited attendance anyway in which case I imagine the capacity part of ground grading might be waived 🤷♂️

Area around the pitch doesn’t look fully finished/cleaned up, probably why it’s not been shown so much. Press release says LCFC Women are playing there, if that’s true the total capacity will need upping to around 1,200 at least for it to reach WSL/Championship ground grading standards so that might be another reason it’s not complete yet.
