  1. This sums-up prostate cancer detection perfectly. The start point for checking is PSA. If it spikes push for an MRI and take it on there after. I hope these posts will alert all FT members to take care of themselves!!
  2. Hi DRE’s, rather like PSA results are not an exact science. Unfortunately it requires an MRI scan to establish if there is anything suspicious. Previous to my diagnosis , I had 3 PSA tests per annum plus 2 x DRE🫣. I only ever saw one spike 4 years ago which was dismissed by a previous MRI. It’s a bloody minefield Prostate Cancer.
  3. Hello my Friend, My treatment is Radiotherapy only (CHHips). I was diagnozed Gleason 3+4 (Grade 2). So HT not required. BUT my older Brother had both treatments 2/3 years ago, this as I assume his Tumor was larger. He is now in Remission!! Before I decided to have a voluntary MRI at my cost, this to bascically double check matters (as my family as been wiped out with same cancer) my PSA was only 2.06. Therein lies another anomaly attached to PSA results. I suppose the lesson here is, if there are historical cases in your family, you need to be even more vigilant and push your GP for tests, especially if your nocturnal visits to the Toilet increase.
  4. Thanks for up date. I am sure you will be fine. Statistics are heavily in your favor and on your side!!!
  5. Well done for pushing this.
  6. Thank you my friend!
  7. Just finished week 1 of my radiotherapy, so 5 sessions down and 15 more to go. The treatment itself is painless and only lasts a few minutes. Having to commute to Vienna everyday is arduous and the big side effect for me is feeling so very tired in the evenings. Lots of early nights. Hopefully this difficult period will pass quickly and with the cancer stopped in its tracks. Take care everyone and just remember if you do not feel right about your body, get it checked!
  8. Being realistic here, unusual on FT, he can only work with the tools he was given. Add in the Dufkin factor and the summer transfer window car crash, even Pep might struggle to polish so many turds??
  9. He has not done much since 'Together in Electic Dreams'.
  10. The Singapore League is probably a higher standrad than the Scottish Pub League. It is yes from me. Dufkin get it done - 7 year contract 70,000 big ones a week.
  11. I have heard Rudkin is taking them with him when he becomes DoF at Corby Town.
  12. We could be relegated by the end of this month? Looking at Brighton, there is a Club with excellent Infrastructure off the field. We have Dudkin running our Club.
  13. Against our defense he would look mustard.
  14. Thank you.
  15. Thank you. I hope your surgery goes well and wish you a very speedy and full recovery! I will up-date the treatment etc. periodically.
  16. Thank you. Waiting times for the National Health Service equivalent here are not as bad as the UK, but still there are waiting times. Luckily I can afford to pay to go private. Saw the Urologist on Tuesday. CT Scan for planning on Wednesday and first Radiotherapy session next Monday. This quick as I had done the MRI and Biopsy in Malaysia last month. Just need all FT Members over 50 to start PSA checks regularly. This particular thread is excellent for anyone with health issues as just look at the best wishes I have received today!
  17. Thank you!
  18. Thank you!
  19. Thanks. I am over the initial shock of being told I haVE cancer, and now the fight begins and trust me I will put up a bigger fight than this shower that currently masquerades as LCFC !
  20. Prostate Cancer often runs in a family. In my case 3 generations have been impacted. PSA tests are indeed inconclusive in isolation. I did a blood test in eatly February and the PSA value was around 2.00. Did a voluntary MRI scan thereafter and something suspicious was found. Biopsy followed within a week and diagnosed with early signs of cancer. Start Radiotherapy next Monday in Vienna. I am lucky that I can afford to pay for private treatment, otherwise it would be months and months of anxiety and worry. Please be viligent chaps. Catch it early and you should be fine!
  21. Bring in some Kids and ship out the shite. Will be more enjyable to watch than the current bunch.
  22. Outgoings should be fine??
  23. A transfer embargo with Dufkin and the current Retirement Team still in place, would in fact be a Godsend. It would stop the pile of deadwood becoming greater and force any new manager into playing players born after 2008 instead of players born before 1985. EFL get it done.
  24. Unless Ruudkin is got rid of nothing will change. This has to be the first binning. A new DoF then needs time and freedom to rebuild the Foundations..............it is working for 2TK.
