  1. I was skeptical at first, not of the display, but of the uptake from some of the older members of the Kop. How (gladly) wrong I was, a great effort. Also thought Birch had asked for things to be held up too early and people would lose interest, but everyone kept it going, it was fantastic. Great the see the pictures coming through and what a display. The foil finish makes it look so much better than a carboard alternative, and for the whole thing to cost £600 too, a stunning effort all round from sourcing the supplier to implementation and distribition on the day. Also great with the owners present. Agree with those RE: every game. I guess the only reason clappers etc aren't wearing thin right now is because it's so important the crowd get behind the team at this stage, not sure West Brom on a cold Saturday in November would be as good. Retain that fresh feel and every time it'll be brilliant. Also agree about funding. As much as I'd like the club to contribute to the initiative their co-operation in letting this happen will be enough. The interest from this will hopefully increase donations to the point where it's not financially dependent on a small range. No club funding would also give 100% creative control to UFS (though I realise the club would likely have to approve a design if it was changed from what we had on Saturday.) All in all it looked superb and a great effort by everyone.
  2. Three times, because of my dad on all three occasions. First was his first seizure, which, cause of the way his arms were I thought was a heart attack. Second was his third seizure three days after Xmas (his second came while walking to the football on 21 Dec) and the third was when he was in disturbing amounts of pain five 1/2 years later just a few months before he died. A) I realise this is wildly off topic B) Moose is right, god calling 999 is depressing
  3. Whip yourself up into thinking something is a good idea, and spend the rest of time thinking that the thing you whipped yourself up into thinking was a good idea was, in fact, pretty silly. tl;dr Embarrassing day
  4. +1 for sharp tongue tone of your post. You're under no form of narcissism, so long you don't go parading the fact you've watched them to everyone. If anything you're better because you had a marathon with friends, so you can all enjoy and talk about what you watched. SD is a bit peasantry though, you have to admit that at least? Why watch something in 480p when you can watch it in 720/1080p?
  5. Think there are certain types who will - The type who just can't resist, they absolutely cannot control the urge to watch them and they'll be pining for episode five and devastated to wait four more weeks for it - The type who will watch it just so they can say "I've seen up to episode four, you know, you should download them and watch it" even though they've only seen them in SD (believe the leaked episodes are SD only) - Similar to number two, snarky people who will watch the first four then, for the next three weeks, contstantly bring up to their friends that they've seen it and keep dropping hints about what will happen in each episode. The type of person who likes to feel prestige and special. Don't watch it myself but I admire something which is so well made and so globally popular.
  6. Negative, we lost 1-2 at the Walkers
  7. What a ridiculous question. Like all sane fans would say, no.
