Our supporters are amazing. Chance to go and play in Italy at a much higher level than stay at a shitshow of a club and it's all "GET HIM GONE" "SHIT ANYWAY" Classy as always from the brainless section of our lot.

In 1976 they'd just put the fire out and get on with it without any fuss I reckon. It is summer after all, this kind of thing happens.
-
Just to follow onto this. I wonder if Looney are butthurt. 10 years ago they'd be in the position Binface is now - straight fight between a zany alternative and Farage. They've been around for 42 years and this would've been their first opportunity to be a genuine disruptor but instead the count has swooped in and got a higher profile.
-
Monster Raving Party standing. That coupled with the other cranks and freaks running will be giving Reform a jump for absolute joy. The few votes they get might end up being crucial in a by election like this (or Farage wins by 10,000 votes). MRLP getting pelters on their socials for standing and splitting the bin vote - Farage's dream has come true.
-
Couple of people on Reddit defending the £20 charge. One saying something about not minding adding to the clubs coffers. Absolute insane behaviour.
-
...And if by some miracle Binface did win, you know for sure their blame would lie with the "uniparty" and establishment politics who decided to disrespect Clacton voters by not running (aka they didn't run so the vote wasn't split for me to win)

Is there some statute of limitations or parliamentary standards scrutiny he'll avoid by resigning and then being re-elected in 2026 as opposed to his current term? If not, what an absolute drama queen EDIT: Would love it if the other parties didn't play his game and didn't bother standing against him.

Sensational. They all showed their true colours when they were oh so happy for their pervert corrupt president to prop the team up by tickling Gianni to subvert the rules. They won't be missed. Piss off.
-
Amazing isn't it. Trump claims he got the red card stopped like it's a triumph and not blatant cheating and state interference. Infantino scrambles out a statement basically saying that's not the case in damage limitation when Trump has basically called him a subservient cheat. And on WC final day he'll smile with his tongue up his arse whilst he let's the president make the ceremony all about him.

What a waste of time watching the first 49 laps that was

Do you think a game of football will break out when these two teams stop fouling each other?
-
It can be fishy af but I'll take it 🤣

In a quandary about Mexico game - part of me wants to go pub to enjoy the uniqueness of a 1am England game in a major tournament at the pub. Other part of me wonders if it's worth the hassle and to just wake up and watch without spoilers. Wife said she'd give me a lift to the pub as well (unreasonably she won't collect me after though...)

Monga to Man City £10 Million - Official.

The gormless clapping off of of the lads when we lose 3-0 to Fulham U21s will be a humbling thrice the size of this reminder. -
It'll take a bit of time to appear - probably need to work out who has the Norway-Brazil game (probs ITV) but that'll affect the schedule. The matches for the RO32 didn't appear until the day for some of the first games. It'll come up but if you want to be ultra safe set a series record for a RO32 WC match on the BBC and it should follow-on and auto record when it appears on your EPG.

Don't worry, people already looking to tell us how we'd have lost this under him as well, or how this is his fault.
-
That's fine, and a fair point, but there's no denying they were also absolutely abysmal against both Ivory Coast and Curacao, and I'm not sure why that seemed to be forgotten, especially as they were playing a hyped and confident Mexico team in Mexico. It is a shame with their track record going in they weren't any better - I'm being harsh but the tournament would've been a damn sight better for them being in that qualifying form.
-
"There we can see the teams gathering in the tunnel, so will Haaland humble Brazil or is Gabriel gunner keep him quiet? Join us after the break for the anthems."
-
Absolutely insane people seemed to convince themselves Ecuador were the real deal after beating Germany. Shows that one decent performance against a superpower team on the wane covered up the pathetic performances they put in against Ivory Coast and Curacao.

Premier League 2026/2027 Season

Honestly all I take from that word salad is "man wanted to take a new job and did what he wanted to do it." The man had the desire to no longer do his job and decided to resign and pay financial costs to enact that desire. So what? Why should football managers be held to any higher standard than anyone else. -
But he got to two finals? Come back in ten years and let's see if any future or current England manager does the same. Maybe in a decade we'll have some more respect on what he achieved. Or less respect! Who knows
-
Honestly I don't disagree at all with this. I don't think GS should've led us into this tournament. The issue I have is the complete trashing of 2018, 2021 and 2024 as if we were complete shit. Maybe we didn't play great football but we got as far as we ever have in years and years, and the assumption from some that the magic key to success was anyone but him was always rocky.
-
Spent eight years bitching about major tournament performances under the old manager and this is what we get instead. Famous last words of we win the world cup but the arrogance of our fan base showing itself up big style
-
How do the usual suspects blame this on Gareth? Somehow it's his fault, I'm sure. Everything was going to become easy and a piece of piss after he left, apparently.
