  1. Good game overall against a poor opponent. Don't know if Cardiff's lack of threat was caused by Leicester being good or Cardiff being bad (or a combo). Excellent goals from KDH and Justin. I still don't really grasp how James got that shot to dip down into the goal like that. Good performances from Winks, KDH, Mavididi, and basically the entire defense. No real bad performance by any Leicester player. Also, no real threat provided by Cardiff all match. Onward and upward! P.S. Such a quiet crowd in Cardiff. It's like their supporters were just resigned to a loss.
  2. After Boxing Day action (24 of 46 matches): Status: 59 of 93 points for automatic promotion. Current points rate is 2.46/match. 1.54 points/match required for the rest of the season. We have an 11-point gap over third place (Southampton). We have 63% of the required points for automatic promotion after 52% of the season.
  3. Generally good play by the Foxes until some questionable substitutions in the second half. Good first-half goal by Stephy. Undone by a deflected shot that went in late. Mavadidi, KDH, Vestergaard, Faes all performed well.
  4. Finally got a replay of the penalty shout. Was that a shoulder to shoulder challenge on KDH, or was it a running-into from behind?
  5. Not particularly a fan of this ref. Sam Barrott is his name.
  6. Now to see how Casadei and Iheanacho work together...
  7. Good work by Casadei there to get his body in the way and win a free kick.
  8. Daka + Casadei? Interested to see how this works.
  9. About the Mavadidi goal... As Ipswich, how do you not have any defenders within 15 yards of a known dangerous left-winger for the opposition? Somebody must have gone to sleep or was ball-watching. Stephy had all the time in the world to line up and take his shot.
  10. Exactly! Patson was running to the perfect position, and the pass went left instead. It did look like there was a channel for the pass to be successfully slipped in to Daka.
  11. They are pressing upfield effectively thus far.
  12. Of interest (at least to me): Sam Allison is reffing Sheffield United v Luton Town today. He reffed one of our matches a couple of months ago and performed well. The media is predictably wanking on about the fact that he is black. I am more interested in the fact that he is a former player who has successfully moved on to high-level refereeing. Happy to see competence being rewarded.
  13. Looking forward to this so very, very much. Despite the spanking earlier today, Ipswich are a solid squad and will be tough to beat at home.
  14. I peeked in on a Rotherham forum, and it was too depressing to read for long. They fully expect to be in League One next year.
  15. First half probing, testing, but not finding a way through the double-decker parked bus. Second half the bus was blown up! Brace for Daka, good goal for Casadei. Excellent work from Winks, Faes, Mavadidi, and KDH. And we got some subs on to allow for a bit of rest before Boxing Day.
  16. Corrected my stupidity in the original post.
  17. How many Leicester players have now scored this season? (Although I don't remember if Casadei has scored before today.)
  18. I enjoyed watching him sprint back from his left wingback position to his central defense position when Rotherham were supposedly 'on the break'. He beat them all to the Leicester box.
  19. Ah, duh. Sad that I would completely forget about Cannon AND Casadei (who just scored).
  20. Future scenario: Data and Iheanacho are away at AFCON. Vardy is out with a niggling hamstring problem. Who do you use as a striker? Or do you go with no actual striker at all? I ask because I genuinely do not know.
  21. A brace for Data -- thus far!
  22. Put it in the box, get a shot off, get a bit of a lucky bounce, GOAL!
  23. Come on Yunus, give us a spark!
  24. Whoever said that Faes is in the right place so many times... That is spot on! Rotherham try to clear the ball away -- Wout is there to regain the possession again and again.
