Happy with the lineup. Serious impact subs available for the second half. Lets run this lot off the pitch!

Wow. Just wow. I can't believe I just read 17 pages of posts on what are basically rumors (at least when said posts actually stayed on topic). A few articles/tweets were published, effectively saying "There might be some FFP problems/breaches for Leicester City, but we have no facts one way or the other." Some forum members absolutely go off, trashing one or more of the following: Rudkin, Top, KPI, (and more infrequently) Rodgers. I am content to wait until the actual finances are disclosed, digested, and explained to me. I love LCFC, but I am not likely to read and properly comprehend a multi, multi-page financial disclosure report. If we are found to have been in violation of FFP rules, we will take the penalty and move on. As long as the club survives, financially, I will have an English football team to support. I know almost all supporters still supported the Foxes in League One. I was supporting from a distance, as streaming options for League One football in 2008-09 basically didn't exist (at least I didn't find them). Some people love to overreact. Others love their hobby horse, and look for any opportunity to hop on it.

My breezy cheeky answer is Both. I always want my club to win their matches. I also understand the wear and tear on the players. But, the FFP rumors move my preference toward promotion. Being penalized for financial breaches while still stuck in this division would be very damaging to the club. I will trust the manager to manage the squad. He rotated the squad pretty significantly for Bournemouth and we still won.

Leicester 1-0 Sunderland Post Match Thread.

May need Enzo to suit up and give us 30 minutes in midfield. Good to see Ndidi back. Fatawu outstanding work rate. Looks like a bunch of weary players, and too much passivity. Still, happy that we won! -
Wow, what a cracking shot! And good save by Mads!
-
Are we playing down to the level of our opponent?
-
Now that I can play the audio, sounds like a church service in there!
-
Excellent work from Yunus!
-
Would love to see Wilf, but also don't want any aggravation of his previous injury. Just get another goal and make it all moot.

The ref's name is SUNNY SINGH GILL, per https://www.efl.com/news/2024/february/26/referee-appointments--1-6-march/.

I am receiving the video on a Windows computer, then sending the output via HDMI to a wall-mounted TV screen. Chrome browser is the video player.
-
Regarding FoxesHub: I am actually getting really good video quality, all the way to the US. Audio is muted as I am in a work meeting (Q&A section meeting).

Was just going to say this. Go back a year, I would never have imagined making that statement, except as sarcasm.
-
Would have liked to see Marc on the sheet, but otherwise I like that lineup!

Leicester's match week 35 is complete. Three league losses on the trot is not ideal. Status: 78 of 93 points required for automatic promotion. Current points rate is 2.23/match. 1.36 points/match required for the rest of the season (15 points from 11 matches). We have a 5-point gap over third place (Leeds). We have 83.9% of the required points for automatic promotion after 76.1% of the season.

Allowed two QPR goals on what I believe were the first two QPR shots. Missed Jannik today. Showed some good intensity in the second half, but we haven't found a way to prise open a deep and determined defense. Gap to third down to five points. Didn't really see any performances that deserved plaudits. Some decent play, but it wasn't good enough overall.
-
Applying some decent pressure the last few minutes. Unfortunately, QPR are playing some really good defense in their box. It does help to have ten players behind the ball...

Log out and back in. That often works.

As was so well said by @weller54 in the pre-match thread:

5:45 am k/o for me. Oh, I'll be present and accounted for in front of the telly, but I won't be happy about it.
-
I'm not a football conspiracy theorist. Also, I can't imagine that anyone who would be able to rig cup draws would be sufficiently interested in Leicester City to do so. Just a bit of an odd run going against the randomness.
-
I've done exactly zero research, but it does seem we 'randomly' get drawn into a lot of away cup ties.
-
'Playing at a lower level' is quite valid. Not going into details, but there have been a few squads this season who have shown very little ambition, or even basic football skill. And it all turns into a (positive) cycle. Play well (against lesser opposition), get picked regularly by the manager, boost of confidence, play well, round and round it goes.
-
Been thinking about the genesis of Jannik's career revival this season. I am wondering if he (1) just plays massively better when he is picked consistently, or (2) plays massively better when he has the manager's confidence? Or perhaps a combo of both? Either way, I wish to apologize for calling him Lurch the last few years.

Bournemouth FA Cup (a) Match Thread

According to what I just read, yes there will be 30 minutes extra time if needed, plus penalties after that if necessary.
