  1. I've liked Sam Allison's referee work every time I've seen it. Seems to have a great ability to let play flow as much as possible.
  2. I think I'm actually serious about this -- Wout could legitimately serve as a capable emergency midfielder if needed.
  3. On the goal -- you could almost see the thought bubble above Jamie's head -- "which way do I need to twist and turn to get a shot off?" He found one that worked!
  4. I am way off. Only 1.
  5. Maybe 3 minutes of stoppage for this half?
  6. I've never been known as the smartest tool in the shed...
  7. What is up with all the balloons and other stuff on the pitch? I didn't tune in until after the first minute of the match.
  8. Hopefully not, but possibly the second-to-last match for Jamie Vardy with Leicester. Makes me sad. I hope they can work out a one-more-year deal.
  9. Lets put this match and this season away! Up the Foxes!
  10. Like all the financial adverts -- "Past performance is no guarantee of future results." But, often there isn't much else to go on! I am now quite curious what points the 3rd-place team ends up on. Might even end up being 93...
  11. We have exceeded the 93 point threshold for automatic promotion! Current point total is 94 with two matches remaining. Unfortunately, promotion is not yet guaranteed. @Aus Fox has already broken down the scenarios for us. However, I remain optimistic!
  12. Two items... First -- That Vardy goal was exquisite! (I hope I am properly remembering things here) Hamza works hard to retain possession, then passes to Fatawu. Three (I think) defenders immediately run toward Abdul. Vardy sees the huge swath of open space in the box and immediately runs into it. Abdul makes the easiest pass of his career and Jamie buries the shot. Second -- That foul by the defender on Praet was, like others have said, a red card in a VAR league. Studs landed directly on the outside of Dennis' right ankle. Horrible foul.
  13. Oh my! Abdul Fatawu with a hattrick and a beautiful assist to Jamie Vardy for the fourth goal. Wilfred Ndidi also with a headed goal on a marvelous assist from Stephy Mavadidi. Then Vardy pays back Fatawu with an assist on the fifth goal. One of the most complete performances from the Foxes in months! Onwards and upwards!
  14. We're gonna win!
  15. Thank you for the correction. I am also not infallible, as it turns out.
  16. As of today (Sunday, 21 Apr 24), the top four Championship teams have all played 43 matches. After a couple of disappointing losses, Leicester won their most recent. Status: 91 of 93 points required for automatic promotion. Current points rate is 2.12/match. 0.33 points/match required for the rest of the season (2 points from 3 matches). We are in first place and have a 4-point gap over third place (Leeds). We have 97.8% of the required points for automatic promotion after 93.5% of the season. P.S. I acknowledge 93 points may not be sufficient. We shall see. I am not changing the target point total until it is demonstrably incorrect.
  17. Leicester somehow survived a West Brom onslaught in the first 15 minutes or so. Hamza was immense. We managed two goals, then had to survive more WBA attacks. Glad to get the win. Onwards and upwards!
  18. Six minutes extra time have been conjured up from somewhere...
  19. Amazing match. Could easily be 0-4, could easily be 3-3, but somehow it is actually 2-0! COYB!
  20. If we are going to keep getting corner kicks, get Kevin on for some non-crap deliveries.
  21. Good back and forth, we are showing some significant attacking intent. And as has been said, Plymouth are not just sitting back. Could go either way at this point.
  22. That'll do pig. Would recommend being ready for five subs to replace tired legs when needed.
  23. I really shouldn't write this, but what the hell. Leicester currently holds the Championship record (19 years) of the highest point total to still be relegated to League One. It would be so Leicester-ey to set another record as the highest point total to not achieve automatic promotion. How do we manage to end up in these situations? I mean, I know we can't control the other teams, but damn.
  24. I think a little bit of well-timed hoofball might be warranted in this game. Try to catch them out occasionally.
  25. I need four screens. I've access to both CL matches and Leeds - Sunderland on ESPN2.
