The only player I know they have kind of managed that with was Thomas Henry - signed at 24 for €500k and then sold for €5.5m after 3 seasons Recently they actually seem to be doing quite well with bringing through academy players and then selling them on for good fees, last summer and this summer: €3.5m for Louis Patris €8m for Mandela Keita €2m for Richie Sagrado They have got a few more players now that they have signed young or brought through the academy that they would likely get decent fees for if they sold them like Tobe Leysen, Ewoud Pletinckx, and Joël Schingtienne

Yeah but he was on loan last season to Antwerp with an obligation to buy so he hasn’t really been their player since Summer 2023 Yet still at that point he would’ve been a great signing for us

Based on our current position I think it may be a good move, still not sure he is good enough to be that big creative spark we absolutely need though (if that will be his role) I think this kind of deal just fully sums up the fall off we have experienced

Hopefully we still sign someone else to be our “star” creative player and he will be the back up - unfortunately I doubt Brighton would let us have him on loan if that was the case though His record so far in the Prem with Brighton: 40 appearances 23 starts 1,931 minutes played 21.5 90s 4 goals 2 assists Goal contribution every 322 minutes - every 3.6 games Quite a bit of that has been playing as a right winger as well

Unless the club says he will be definitely be part of the first team or going out on loan I wouldn’t blame him for not signing a new deal - he doesn’t need another season in the under 21s From his very little game time in pre-season it doesn’t look like he will have much involvement in the first team, especially if we do sign a new number 10

Strangely only seen him linked with the likes of Sheff Wed, Derby, and Birmingham You would think mid table and above Championship teams would be the ones fighting over him

Had a look around entirely because I absolutely despise the idea of us having to deal with Ward being our number 2 for potentially at least 6 months Michael Cooper - only has 1 year left on his contract at Plymouth (offer Iversen in the deal) Tobe Leysen - doing very well for Leuven and about time we took advantage of them being our sister club (sorry Leuven) Juan Musso - only has 1 year left on his contract at Atalanta

I wouldn't spend £10m but if Iversen goes I definitely think we need a new number 2 ideally on loan or very cheap We are just an injury to Hermansen away from Ward playing for us in the Prem again
