If we don’t qualify for Europe we could get away with less numbers in midfield. Sell Youri and keep Ndidi, Mendy, Hamza, KDH, Praet and Madders and give a few youngsters a run in the league cup?

Is it possible that we don’t replace him? Play Ndid/Mendy as the CDM with KDH left and Madders right. That puts Madders in his better position rather than out wide and we can spend the money buying the ever missing left footed right winger Mahrez replacement.

We’ve spent a lot of time effort and money to replace him over several years and several managers but tonight he popped up with a goal and an assist in a European cup game for the foxes - he’s like the terminator, he’s relentless, all effort and energy and just won’t die! Absolute legend if ever there was one.

Well done for organising this, Bernie always raised a smile and he was Leicester through and through. I can’t be there because I’ll be away for a weeks holiday but I’ll be thinking of you all and raising a beer to him. RIP Bernie.

Back in the 80’s most matches were 3:00 kick off on Saturdays, my dad played local football on Saturdays and I was too young to take to night matches so the Boxing Day game was my highlight of the year! - first game was 87 and we lost 0-1 to Bournemouth, 12 months of waiting and and again we lost 0-1 to Bournemouth - I didn’t see us score a goal the first two times I went, makes you wonder how I ever fell in love with city!

I think Tarkowski has known for the last 18 months that he’s leaving and his performances have been affected by that. I said exactly the same thing about Evans when we were linked with him at West Brom, he’d been poor for over a year and had the Spanish taxi incident, I said at the time steer clear because he’s after one last pay day but he’s been phenomenal for us. I think Tarkowski could be the same for us for the next 2 years.

Is this Burnley giving up on survival? If so they may as well accept a bit of £10-£15 for Tarkowski from us now rather than let him go for free in the summer.
