The 1969 cup final program headlined with " a tale of two cities " Man City has only recently become known as the city due to their paid-for success, before that they were a nothing side. Only one city in my heart and mind and it's not them.

Good on ya mate.
-
you must be on your own mate because everyone I know or have ever known always says "going to watch the city " or" going down the city match " never mentioning the name Leicester at all. If you live here it's a given you mean Leicester City and no one else. Thats not a hang up it's the truth.

He obviously is a bad keeper And if I stood next to him I wouldn't be afraid to tell him either. Because if he threw a punch he's miss.
-
So nothing then ? but no one at the club said what the Fu*ck have you been doing as a goalkeeper coach then?
-
Ok, so what did Stowel do to earn his year-long money then?
-
I've often wondered what a goal-keeping coach does anyway? I mean how hard can it be? Yes I understand teaching young kids on the books the basics but what could you be teaching a senior pro keeper he doesn't already know?

Manager for the Championship rebuild - who do you want?
PAPA LAZAROU replied to Happy Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
I agree but the real gamble was letting the player's contract run down all the same time and not getting players in to replace them at the start of the season. They gambled on having enough of the old guard to see them through the season and then re-group for this season. Keeping faith with Rodgers was the ultimate gamble and it just did not pay off. Lots of talk at the time about how much it was going to cost to get rid of Rodgers but now weigh that against lost revenue from not being in the prem and it seems a suicidal gamble. It was all so easily avoidable if they had listened to the players and even us the fans who could have told them where this season was heading. But no they chose to listen to Rodgers who threw players under the bus and even told anyone who would listen that however the season would pan out it would not be his fault but the boards for not buying anyone in the close season. They gambled and lost heavily and it's why we are in this avoidable mess in the first place. Having said all that I'd be very happy Enzo coming in at least he can start with a clean slate and build a team he wants and not have to put up with old players who think they run the club. -

Disagree. The situation was of their own doing. They knew the fair play rules and knew they had let players' contracts run down. They were not victims of circumstance just rank bad management. -

I don't know about not taking risks over the last couple of years. Top and company gambled the whole premier future of the club by not investing in new players at the start of the season knowing full well that most of the player's contracts were ending, and not sacking Rodgers early enough. look where that gamble has gotten us? -

My word. Read back to the original post, please. Even if we are run into the ground we will still be a club that has won all the domestic trophies. Yes, that's the Premier League, the F.A cup, the league cup, the charity shield, and the quarter-final of the champions league. Had a player with a record that as yet hasn't been broken in Jamey Vardy's eleven from eleven. Please feel free for your comparison. -

Given that we need a massive influx of players due to the idiot/s who allowed so many players to run down their contracts at the same time and now getting cherry-picked for the few good players we have it is vitally important to appoint a manager who will be able to attract Goodenough players to the club for a promotion push. Does anyone think Parker given the way he treated his own players at other clubs would fit that bill ? Football is a small world when it comes to inside knowledge and if I were a potential recruit for our club I'd be telling my agent no way if he's in charge. In fact, out of all the potential managers, he doesn't even come close to even being interviewed. It would be a total disaster if they appoint this clown. -

I gave you the reality. Swansea is in no way on par with us in any way shape or form. just because we are going to play in the same league as them does not make us equals. Did you ever think we were the equal of Man city last season just because we were in the prem? No of course not. As for Confucious Pearson, he also equated a press reporter with an Ostrich. Hardley someone to champion eh ? -

We are ten times the bigger better club than Swansea. If you don't realise that now I'm fairly sure you need help. -

Yes good points.

Yes, I get what you mean smudger. But under Emery, I can see villa qualifying for Europe next season quite easily.
