And they in turn might say the same. I've made my feelings known earlier in the thread (and I think you read it) - no point bickering amongst ourselves, it is the club that need winning over.

I was reminded last night of the 2-0 win over Watford 3 or 4 seasons ago, where by the end we looked out of gas, and followed up with a home draw with Norwich before two very bad defeats. I hope I'm wrong, however it felt to me like a dropping of points might be looming.

I was in the West Stand, quite close to the superb noise being produced. I had company and we both clapped and sang along as much as possible. I cannot be doing with polarising opinion further - ultimately we have an ageing fan base and the hardcore support is diluted because the majority of the 30,000 or so were never part of the 10,000 odd in the mid to late 80s. Demographics have changed and the club is squeezing as much as possible out of the (relatively) well off, knowing that they'd never get full houses of the young at the prices they charge. I couldn't really understand people leaving early last night, but it's nothing to do with me and hardly 'embarrassing'. I absolutely applaud UFS and SK1 for their efforts, of course. I think the only way for positive change is to convince the club of the importance of helping produce the right noisy support - trying to unfold the arms of the 1,000s that just sit there waiting to be entertained, and complaining despite our having won 12/13 is futile, sadly, just as trying to reason with the unreasonable is equally pointless. In other words I totally support the cause and understand the conversation here, but urge that we don't turn on one another further, when the issue is complicated. Win the club over and change is possible.

I'm hoping to come down for this - is getting away likely to be terrible still if driving? I can easily get the train otherwise...

I'm sorry, but for me you've created false equivalence there. There's a world of difference between feeling the low and refusing to let something go.

It's good to be critical, but by God do some love to focus on negatives. I saw a post earlier whining on about losing to Hull. It's not long since I read someone say the likes of 'I will never get over Kermit arrogantly missing that penalty.' Let it go, chaps, it's healthier.
