Disgusting midfield pairing. One can’t pass or shoot, the other can’t be arsed to run, tackle or press. I hope this is just his chance to see them play with his instructions and maybe positioned the other way round.

Hopefully we have seen the last of Ndidi stinking out attacks and Soumare jogging watching players take crosses and shots before he realises he is playing in the match. If Faes plays, he needs to start the attacks and get the ball to Winks quickly. Okoli hesitates too much and tends to drift back and launches it out rather than progress with the ball.

And the ease at which our defence are happy to play themselves into trouble than attempt to counter is frustrating.

The attacks from the back shouldn’t start with Okoli. He is too indecisive and makes poor choices/passes, too often he retreats rather than start in the front foot like Faes and Vesti.

Ndidi killed that attack, he is useless at multiple choice.

Apart from 20 seconds against a 10 man Ipswich in the dying minutes he’s hardly shown that to be in his locker. As much as I would love him to prove me wrong and actually be good. We know what he will do, float around, barely attempt a 50/50, watch players walk towards and pat him with the ball and then chase back and tackle from behind to give a foul away.

5 at the back and Ndidi & Soumare will still offer no press in the midfield or attempt to close anyone down. All the work will be done by Buonanotte.

Just like when BR went, he played the same dross the exact same way. The yes men chancers are easy to spot. You would think they would take a chance when asked to step up.
