Wilf doing his usual brain freeze mistakes after 60 mins, now he won’t even tackle as he’s on a yellow. Takes our best player off but leaves two useless players on yellows.
-
Justin leaving space again. Ndidi not even attempting to press or tackle and Auew just floating about. Make some changes.
-
A combination of Ndidi getting tired after 60 and on a yellow means he will be too scared to make a tackle. Bournemouth making subs to add energy while we have donkeys on yellows..
-
All the good attacks have came from not getting Ayew involved. If he gets the ball then it breaks down.
-
It’s frustrating watching him get the ball as you know nothing will come from it. It’s either throw himself to the floor to try and win a foul or hold onto the ball until he can fall over. The free kicks into the box have been felt with ease by Bournemouth. It feels like this is Coopers gameplan and Fac brilliant run and goal was a glitch.
-
Ayew gets in the way, Facs energy in the middle would be better.
-
Okoli stinking it out at the back with his passing, it needs to be Faes.
-
Yes, many goals this season have been his fault. His marking on Martinelli was non existent, he backed off and allowed him to walk into the box and pass without even attempting to tackle him.
-
I think the point is Fatawu will learn with game time and develop his skill set and judgement. Ayew peaked ability and returns wise at Crystal Palace while on loan years ago go. With Fatawu we have a chance that something could happen, with Ayew the best people can say about him is he wins a free kick.
-
Better he slides into girls DMs than tackles in the box.

It’s insane that you’ve had to even type that, on top of that we have Coopers set up and in game management. I’m guessing the tactics will be the same. JJ tucking in leaving so much space for the winger to get the ball unmarked. JJ will the then back off rather than press allowing him to pass the ball in the box between Ndidi & Skipp camped on the edge of the box and the CBs standing around watching the ball. If Okoli is booting the ball out of defence to the opposition instead of Faes starting attacks calmly then they are in a for along afternoon. Ndidi and Ayew will be battered by 60 mins but won’t get subbed. Mav and Fac will for Reid and Fatawu on 82 mins. That’s after Bournemouth have used all 5 on 60 mins to inject energy.
-
His footballing ability is at the same level as Coopers tactical nous. Runs around a lot and gets involved to give the impression that he’s a hard worker but doesn’t actually do anything worthwhile. He will win a free kick at the expenses of an attack and bringing others into the play. He stinks out pretty much all attacks he gets involved with.
-
He will collect the ball and fall over after holding onto it for too long while ignoring anyone around him.

Ayew will start and play every minute along with Ndidi even though they both can only last 60 mins until they start making even more mistakes. 91st minute to waste time when we could be going for a draw, Abdul will run on for Mav. -
I don’t take much value in who Cooper rates. It’s a shame he’s getting any experience but no experience would be better than Coopers.

He is even more negative on the left, I would prefer him to be dropped for a while. My memories of him for the last few seasons at LB are calling for the ball, doesn’t look forward, instant pass back then apologise to Barnes/Mav for not looking at them open and unmarked. -

The usual pre match interview saying just enough of nothing. Roll on match day where it will be the same singular change, same tactics and formation. Post match excuses and guff. -

Ayew will start, any changes will be at 80 - 90 mins. It’s sad that what should be exaggerated jokes and sarcasm are currently reality. Nothing will change as he doesn’t know what is causing the problems. -

He already is playing with one useless striker on the wing, might as well get one up front. It wouldn’t surprise me if he dropped Vardy and played Edouard and classed that as playing two strikers. All he does is rotate a singular issue and avoids making a bigger change as it’s obvious he doesn’t know what to do. -

The obvious and logical choice of playing players in their natural position where they are strongest and most skilled. -

This has filled me with confidence for the next game. Vardy isn’t the problem and this shows that he doesn’t understand what the issue is. Mav has to do everything and gets doubled up on, Ndidi has a brain freeze every time he has more than 5 seconds to think which unmarked player to pass to and Ayew falls over after hogging the ball. He won’t play with 2 wingers so no chance playing with 2 strikers, if he does he’ll shoe horn him into another position. -

It feels like the players are getting something in spite of Coopers poor line ups and tactics. Mads definitely saved him an embarrassment, hopefully he realised that but I doubt it. Every game now feels like a waste of points and team development. He keeps rotating the mistakes rather than the wholesale change which everyone else can somehow see. I would have loved Radio Leicester to ask him a difficult question and then follow up his standard nonsense response. “What was the tactical reasoning for playing an aging Ayew against an even older makeshift LB in Young, when you have Fatawu on the bench, and not overloaded that area which would then create space for Mav and Fac?” -
Arsenal vs Leicester City Tactical Analysis
Richmondfox replied to StriderHiryu's topic in Leicester City Forum
The passing from Okoli was disgraceful for a player at any level, that stifled any chance of breaking. No wonder we couldn’t get going. As you highlighted the number of players Arsenal had high up meant a press was always on and Mavadidi couldn’t break. The ball was never played further up into space for him to run but short passes in congested areas. The time we broke free and Vardy crossed to JJ but he dithered, the same with his goal. Every game the CDM’s are too deep and Ndidi is either floating around high up or back with them, teams walk through the midfield with ease. It seems like the tactic is to let the CBs/CDMs clear up the mess in the box rather than try and stop it earlier. I don’t know anything about his team but I’m guessing they are a bunch of yes men or just as clueless as Cooper. Surely there must have been a conversation or comment asking why he isn’t playing Mav & Fats in the same team or about bringing on subs earlier to change the flow of the game. -

I feel he doesn’t know how to set up and win the game to start with, the subs always feel like empty gestures.
