I’ve seen enough from the managerial equivalent of corned beef. Justin, Reid and Ndidi are useless while he has better players sitting in the bench. Two games in a row he’s put the least skilful donkey players in attack. Surely Kasey would’ve been better than Ndidi as atm. The defence playing a mix of Rodgers and Enzo ball making mistakes and playing a high line. Winks can’t play those blind passes with this personal around him expecting them to be in the space.

Not sure about Justin being dynamic. Watch him closely today, auto backpass before he looks forward while Fatawu will be unmarked. Also watch him stand around if he does pass the ball forward, he is too scared to overlap or at least run to try and draw a defender away from Fatawu.

Ndidi makes too many mistake if he has to have more than one touch of the ball. Justin is boring and offers little for Fatawu, he has to work twice as hard and ends up getting clattered from behind while he’s waiting to see if JJ will attempt to move towards him. Would have preferred Skipp, Ricardo and Mavadidi over Ndidi, Reid and JJ. Two we know are better than what’s on the pitch. If he brings Soumare on again to offer the same level of work rate, then it’s confirmed to me that Cooper is useless.

I would like to see this line up with Ricardo instead of JJ. JJ is great at passing the ball sideways, if only he would do it after an overlap with Fatawu.

He played deeper than he has in a year and didn’t see as much of the ball but he could read the game well and got his positioning right. Glad Faes kept his head all game until we needed him to commit a foul.

He looks so positive and always wanted to do something, didn’t look for the easy back pass which would kill momentum. Lost so much energy and intelligence to be replaced with Soumare. Mav could’ve gone there with Cannon up top. I think Ndidi started to make too many stupid passes and then ends up in goal scoring chances. Ricardo in for JJ to help Fatawu with attacks and we might be onto something.

I’ve been critical of Kasey but he looks like he really wants it and has a positive attitude and energy.

We are playing better than I thought we would. Individually Reid and Ndidi are stinking the place out. JJ is boring as usual. Buonanotte looks exciting, he’ll be even better when Fatawu and Mav can fly forward with him.

Does Justin know he can overlap and provide support or draw defenders away from Fatawu.

The idiot will probably moan in the post match Interview about lack of players, while leaving two of our better players out.

I feel sorry for Fatawu. If JJ dares to pass forward, he just stands and watches him get tackled while Fats waits for the overlap. Then we have VK on the other side who will get forward but will pas back as he’s too scared to attempt anything.

So preseason wasn’t just about fitness, he doesn’t know what he’s doing.

I think this game will be decided by how often the defence prat around the back endlessly and Hamza calling for the ball without a clue what to do, then gives it away. If they decide to slow it down every time we win the ball back, Mav and Fatawu might as well take the night off.

Hopefully it takes pressure off of Winks and he can get the ball forward quickly to make something happen. We can’t rely on Ndidi, Soumaré or Hamza to make a forward pass. I don’t trust Hamza to make a back pass. Ndidi has been conditioned by Enzo to only make the a lot through pass or drive to the line and chip the ball across the face of the goal, any other situation his brain can’t function and he passes backwards.

If it means we don’t have to see Hamza or Soumare next to Winks again then it will be worth it. I’ve not seen him play but hopefully it will allow Winks to push up further and quicker to get the ball to Mavadidi and Fatawu so they don’t have to keep dropping back to the halfway line with backs to goal, waiting for overlaps that never come.
