  1. He's their most in form player mate not their best player.
  2. I'm sorry but full strength man United are shite so man United without their best player Pogba, and 2 other first teamers Shaw and Martial makes them uber shite. I wouldn't swap one of their players for ours. We can only be beaten tomorrow by the occasion, ourselves, or both.
  3. Wow, Barkley in again after 90 mins of fvck all v Bulgaria. Madders must have hit on his daughter or something cos this stinks.
  4. Hahaha Southgate didn't just put oxlade chamberlain (a Liverpool reserve) and Mason mount (4 PL starts) ahead of Maddison. He must just love a foxestalk meltdown.
  5. What a player. Not mobile at all or a tackler, just pure class on the ball and excellent at set pieces, a leader as well, had a massive game in the final v Palace, pressure penalty, very good player.
  6. I didn't think playing for mid table teams made you a shoe in I thought playing for top 3 clubs like Leicester and Liverpool meant you would play, but obviously not. Trent, Madders Chilwell, Sancho come on and save us from the boredom.
  7. So not the biggest spurs fan then 😂😂
  8. Sancho, Maddison and Trent Alexander should all be in based on recent performances surely. What exactly has Ross Fvcking Barkley done to justify starting.
  9. Fair enough, that's an awful thing to say. Maybe my memory is playing tricks but I always thought that the Wycombe cup defeat was the beginning of the end. Up until then we were high up in the league and a shoe in for the FA Cup semis, then Izzet and Savage got injured, Essandoh scored and it all went Pete tong.
  10. Do you mean Nils Eric Johansson? If so he was a centre back buddy.
  11. Thank you. I tried to make a similar point but got called a troll taking the piss.
  12. Oh fvck me how simply do I have to explain. Firstly the midfield was QUALITY back then. Under rated ability consistent international players who were among the best in the prem at the time. Guppy, Lennon, Sav and Izzet were together 4 or 5 years and were brilliant. I had a problem with some saying Ndidi and Maddison were infinitely better than those players which is bollocks. What I'm saying about budget etc is the eras are different so achievements are only relative to the era. As I said its like Huddersfield doing what we did in the late 90s now, so I'm saying that side that midfield was awesome and the current crop have a long way to go to emulate them. As I keep saying take that one miracle season away and that's the best team and players arguably we have EVER HAD. Not sure why your saying im a troll, you're the only one making those accusations. I'm a passionate Leicester fan who is arguing a point that's all.
  13. As I say everything's relative. We were a tiny tiny fish in a massive pond and achieved 3 cup finals and consistently top half with a small squad small budget poor ground and facilities
  14. I'm not taking the piss at all and the fact that a lot of others on here are agreeing with me should tell you I'm making a valid point. Comments on here have been dismissing players in that side simple as that, when it was a totally different era. The point is that the way the prem was back then its like Huddersfield coming up with their budget and team now and finishing top 10 5 seasons in a row and winning 2 cups. That's what it was like, and apart from a one off miracle season that's the greatest period of our 100 plus year history so those guys deserve more respect.
  15. Guppy was a brilliant player, incredible crosser of the ball, could cross it from anywhere. Hard to compare him to Chilwell as mostly Guppy was a wide midfielder or wing back, where Chilwell is a more defensive minded left back. Draper was class, shame he was here in such a poor side and for such a brief amount of time.
  16. What I'm. What I'm trying to say is that you and others are downplaying CONSECUTIVE TOP TEN FINISHES as not a great achievement but at the time it was. It was a totally different era. Now we have mega rich owners, the prem is mega rich not just the top few clubs, and we can compete a lot better. Our facilities and everything from the ground up have improved so much. Back then the club had no money really at all, a small shed of a stadium, whilst most of the rest of the prem had mega bucks. You had Chelsea man utd Newcastle Leeds Liverpool etc spending plus even Wimbledon spending loads on players while we didn't spend a bean really til Taylor spunked a load on dross. O Neill achieved a miracle for 5 years, and as I say if the one off title win didn't happen it would still be by far our most successful period.
  17. Ran out of time got 35, totally forgot the existence of Dean hammond
  18. Be difficult seeing as he wasnt named in the 25 man squad. I don't care who megs and embarrasses Harry as long as someone does and we win the game.
  19. Mate it's a different era. Back then we didn't have over 100 million in prize and TV money, we had **** all compared to the vast majority of the league. Not only did we finish top half over and over we got to 3 Cup finals winning two of them with a small squad assembled of misfits free transfers and guys from lower leagues. The title win has clouded everyone's memories I reckon.
  20. Don't be daft mate, it's not a schoolyard. Just don't take the piss by making stupid comments about a club legend.
  21. No one is disputing that, and if that was the original point no one would argue. Its that fact that it was said Izzet had half the talent Maddison does which is ridiculous. There shouldn't be a disservice given to very good players who were and still are massively underrated. If we hadn't had that miracle season those years on the late 90s would still be our most successful in history, but people seem to be playing down their achievements and ability that's all.
  22. I suppose because for the last 2 or 3 years O Neill was here Parker was a bit part player struggling with fitness. His best year was the Palace play off year in div 1, then did OK the next year too, but more often than not it was Izzet Sav and Lennon in the midfield. Yes we were food at set pieces, but as I keep saying, this team keeps getting slagged off on here, either people were not around, not fans back then or have memory loss, because we had good footballers and were extremely underrated. It's like saying all we did to win the league was lump it to Vardy or give it to Mahrez.
  23. No not really, just its impossible to go to the other extreme as well and say our current players are far better than guys who played for years consistently well. Muzzy is not only a club legend but was a damn good player at home in any era and any of our sides.
  24. And I actually get an opposite vibe to this aswell, I think it's often the current crop that get over hyped and the late 90s guys get under appreciated and under rated.
  25. How though can you argue Izzet has half the talent of a guy in his 2nd season in the prem? That was a stupid comment and I think you must know that.
