Here’s a question designed to look at things from a different angle…. If you were say a Middlesbrough fan, looking for your next manager, how happy would you be to be linked with Ruud?

Yes they should. Completely different situation to us. They’ve just had two promotions and a relegation with McKenna. We’ve lost a million games in a row without scoring with Ruud

I personally think we should swerve this guy. Why do we have to choose the hardest possible scenario to get this guy! Can’t we just employ one of the good free agent managers. Getting Rohl will bound to end up in some legal battle with Sheff Wed. Why do we always have to make such a meal of everything!

If the finances were ‘that bad’ why didn’t we sell sell sell during the 10 day window which we’ve just come out of? I’m not suggesting things aren’t close when it comes to PSR but I genuinely don’t think it’s the case that we can’t afford to sack him, I just think it’ll be cheaper to sack him come July 1st. I also think that timeline isn’t actually too bad. Still plenty of time for a new man to sort things out imo
