Have there been some rule changes in the MLS this season? There just feels more rumours and signings and more money to play with from the mls this year

I just struggle to see the point in a new striker unless he replaces Vardy in the 11, which should be the case as hes pushing 40. But If its a bit part player to come off the bench then we might aswel strengthen the starting 11 out wide and in defence as the starting 11 is the top priority personally. i get why we need a striker 1000% but pointless if its just to be second fiddle to vardy.
