Wow... just imagine a striker who can score 13 goals in a season - they were good days This is the big difference - I can get behind crap players trying. It is so much harder to cheer International players not giving a crap Back then it was can't play football - now it is won't play football

The players put in a shift, not every Leicester team have been world beaters, but we did always use to display the "Foxes never quit" slogan. We had a poor team back then managed by a poor manager, but the players put the effort in. You saw the effect relegation had on the players, you saw them hurting when we lost The problem we have had over the past few years (almost since the start of 2021) is the players don't put the effort in especially when things get tough - yes we had a bit of a rebound under Enzo, but it is the players reactions when things are not going there way that is the problem and how often they really look like they don't care about the club. There has become an arrogance within the club where players think they are better than the club and that is the problem - that is why the fans dislike what they see so much We still have 3 international centre backs making Championship strikers look like Haaland week in week out

So we need to see changes so here is the team Marti won't pick: Jacob Ricci Okoli Nelson Aluko James Winks Fatawu Page Mavididi Carrenza Reasoning: Jacob - Had a decent game against Millwall Ricci - Only RB in the squad and one of our best players and still puts in a shift every time Okoli/Nelson arguably weaker with the ball at their feet than Vesty/Faes- but here is an old fashioned idea, trying out defenders who defend and dropping CBs how cost us goals - the 4 centre backs should be rotated based on form Aluko in at LB - Well Thomas and VK haven't offered anything James/Winks - 2 DCMs who have talent and should control matches at this level (and the alternative is Skipp/Soumare and I hear this midfield partnership is up for 2025 horror film awards) Fatawu - Our best player and match winner on his day Page - Ramsey will be injured, Reid has 1 good game in 2 season and Page was OK when called on earlier in the season Mavididi - Harsh on Monga, but with giving Page a chance I think having our creative front 3 relying on 2 teenagers maybe a bit too much Carrenza - I honestly don't like what I have seen so far, but we have given Daka and Ayew enough starts - why not change things. Sub bench will include Ayew who I think has been better of the bench this season, Monga who coming on against tired defenders will have more luck and we can even include Thomas, VK, Faes & Vesty you know in case our defence does worse than they usually do -

Shocking, really? A Blackburn fan told me last week they were playing better than the results are suggesting Beat Southampton & Ipswich (if the rain hadn't came) - why not the hat trick of relegated clubs Won 2 out of their last 8 (3 if you count Ipswich) - better form than us -
Well this is the current tactic of asking Fatawu and James to score a worldie every game - our corners are now pass to Abdul and let him shoot We have no clue how to create a chance - do they have a league table of big chances created?

Is this not the exact reason the fans should be showing their frustration! The club have somehow ended up with a number of senior players who don't want to be here - so many that we can't drop them all The financial fiasco and PSR is 100% the fault of those running the club We need to be showing our frustration... although we have to be careful not to take it out on the players that do care, albeit it maybe too late as it already appears that even the decent players are distant from the fans. I don't think it is the Managers fault and he is the easy blame, but we need to be doing more to protest against the senior running of the club
-
Also a little reasoning... We have only won 1 of the last 8 games, Only Norwich have won less We are now 25% into the season and going through a down - with no sign of any up Another International break in November - are we going to win a game before that and then use it as excuse to lose afterwards If we win our next game we could be back in 6th place (assuming Charlton lost to Swansea and all Preston, QPR and Hull don't win with Hull playing Norwich) However despite all this I agree he needs time (just pointing out that sensible reasoning can be used to show just how poor we are too, but believe with this board it really makes no difference who the manager is) but don't expect a transfer window to sort this mess out But for Marti to have a future he needs to show that the club has a way of playing - at this moment the team are playing clueless - we create nothing for a frontline that couldn't score even if we did create. The recent tactic is shoot on site and hope James/Fatawu can score 30 worldies a season. And if they can't throw a 3-4-3 formation for the last 10 minutes without actually looking likely to create anything We look like conceding everytime we are asked to defend, but we will go out and do the same week in and week out. From 11 games, we've played decent in what 2 and some players are getting a free ticket to start It is going to get worse before it gets better, we'll be looking at selling in January and still won't have funds to bring anyone in and realistically we need 6.5 players just to make a starting 11. (Counting Ricci, Winks, James & Fatawu as players who are the players are 11 should be based around) and sacking Marti won't help our finances

Realistic Managerial Replacements
beepee1984 replied to winteriscoming's topic in Leicester City Forum
Realistically who on that list actually wants to come to a club that is consistently mismanaged, full of players who won’t play and almost guaranteed to get the blame and sacked within 12 months -
Manager is clueless Players don’t care Every thing is just Shockingly poor

It's always that time of the year with our fans They were booing Enzo in January when we had been top of the table for 4 months

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR
beepee1984 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
He personally brought the stadium and put it into a separate company called "Sheffield 3 Limited" Both the club and Sheffield 3 Limited has been put into Administration and will the admin will look for buyers for both. If the stadium is sold then the proceeds of sale will be used to clear Sheffield 3's debts and any profit will go to the owner and not back to the club - and only assets owned by the football club can be sold to clear the football clubs debt meaning the new owners are likley to have to take on any remaining debt or the club will be wound up Although I'm not a financial expert - so could be wrong -
I have to admit to not being overly impressed with Marti But the root of the issue is not him And spending more money on compensation and hiring another person who also can't do the job seems a bit pointless to me Everyone expects we should be hiring these good managers, but giving that we are likely to get a point deduction, have players who just aren't performing and unless you are a miracle worker you are likely to be booed within 5 games from what is becoming a mixture of a happy go clappy and toxic fanbase and that is before you take into the fact that you have to work with Top and Rudkin making the decisions - oh and you are expected to win the league by at least 12 points - which good manager actually wants this poisoned chalice!

Who you kidding - he will get an Assist in the FA cup 3rd Round against an 8th tier team and be rewarded with a new 4 years contract including pay rise!

Can't argue with any of that except I would suggest Daka wouldn't should in 24 games against them However you name 4 players - adding Monga it would be 50% of our outfield team which is just too unrealistic for a team that should be chasing promotion. But I actually do agree that they should be seeing more minutes But yes I want to see more off Page and Evans, one should be on the bench at least every game, but Marti prefers to like Silko Thomas yet won't give him minutes either I want to see rotation at CB and that includes Nelson Not certain about Aluko, but I have not seen him But we can't bring in 4 youngsters at once -

Deserved to lose If we can't be asked to play for a full 90 minutes then we don't deserve points Players should apologise for the 1st half Manager needs to stop picking some of the players that are so poor so reguarly -

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
beepee1984 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I'm not saying Daka is any good, but I am saying his style of play suits us more than Ayews If we are playing 2 x 10s, Ayew dropping in creates a crowd and there defence can step up whereas Daka pushes up and creates space Just with Daka on the pitch against Swansea meant the defence could not step up and this allowed the number 10's the space they needed. On that day it was Reid and James creating the chances. Today Ayew did well to create the goal (although Ramsey had a lot to do), but in my opinion have the space in front of the centre backs where the 10's have space creates more goals like James side footing his goal in the other week and as Ayew too often refuses to release the ball the chance has gone. Daka is no Vardy and I want to see him replaced, I don't overly mind if Ayew is the number 9 I just want him to keep their defence pushed back - I repeat it is not the performance Daka puts in, but the tactic he is asked to play when selected I prefer -
May as well finish the game with 2 left backs!

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
beepee1984 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
We don't have a good option Yes Ayew holds the ball up well, but often for far too long, if only he played the ball better Ayew drops too deep and Daka positions himself against the last defence and the threat of his pace is enough to get defenders to drop back and create a gap for the number 10s to play I would keep swapping them until one actually does something useful
