Bobby Madley - no no no

Maybe it's just me but what I especially want to see is URGENCY. What p*sses me off is waiting until we are 1-0 down with 5 mins to play and the team starts to think perhaps we should hurry things up a bit. What I want is to see when the ball goes out for a throw in in the first minute, whoever is nearest RUNS to get the ball and get it back in. Don't understand the meandering around when these games are so important for the future of our club. Likewise with the pace of the play - I get the whole possession and control thing but it doesn't have to be done at a snail's pace. Move the ball quickly, put pace on your passes and it's a completely different outcome and approach. The crowd respond and it becomes a virtuous circle. The opposite means everyone sinks further into their seats waiting for something positive. That home game where the crowd could see Fatawu being open and yet ignored - once the team started to ping some balls out to him the pace of the game picked up, the crowd responded and Fatawu had a full back to run at on his own rather than 2 defenders having the time to wander over to him while we slowly moved the ball across the line

I'm equally p*ssed off with recent events but we really need to back the lads on Saturday. These are truly the most important next 4 games we have had for a while and we just have to do our part. If they fail it shouldn't be down to lack of support. Too often our home support has been passive/non-existent this season. This has to be Birmingham at home on steroids to see if we can make a difference. If Leeds lose and we beat WBA and Saints we are up. Lack of vocal chords on my behalf means I know I did my bit

I thought I read somewhere (from a UFS source) this was happening on Saturday vs West Brom - did I dream that ?

Looking forward to him cupping his ear to the crowd if we take the lead in the next home game

FA Cup: Chelsea (A) 4-2 Post-Match Thread

Watched from the upper tier at the Shed end Thought our support was really good - Chelsea's home support made the KP look like a seething cauldron ffs Defensively we look too slow and were vulnerable through-out but our passing through the midfield was excellent only let down by the forwards. Mavididi (great goal apart) was poor, Abdul trying too hard and kept losing the ball and for all Daka's pressing he never looks like scoring to me. From my view we could have really caused them big problems with a more effective attack as we built the play well only for the final third to fail KDH was immense today and without him and Winks to pass and move the ball effectively we would have been battered I think JJ seems to have forgotten how to play football, great shame as before his serious injuries I thought he was fantastic Our defenders (esp Wout) seem to have decided to over-commit to win the ball at the moment causing huge problems when the miss and the forward is through as a result. Its becoming borderline suicidal Hamza just makes too many mistakes eg running under that cross field pass late in second half ! Stolly - he's a great backup - how Ward got in ahead of him beggars belief Genuinely thought at 2-2 with 11 vs 11 we would go on to win the game - they were rattled -
Win and beat Cov at Wembley....now that would be fun

The Hull pen (foul or not) was surely outside the box. He fell into the box but the contact was outside

Can't remember exactly but I think it was that the seats they were offering were really no nearer than where I am today so didn't see the point

I posted last week that I am an STH in SK1 but not in the Singing section (quite near but not near enough, as where I sit it always seems to be me singing by myself). Got a ticket for the Singing section on Saturday and thought the atmosphere was really good. All around me were singing and joining in and the whole of the section seemed pretty united in support, songs starting in different areas not just UFS led. Couple of questions though: Before the season started I enquired about moving to the Singing Section but the only options offered were not really any better ? I would like to move into the singing section for the rest of the season but it looks like it won't work if there are no gaps ? Seems to me the issue with vocal supporters wanting to move to that section is if the people (STHs) who sit there mute won't move somewhere else there will not be the availability so the issue continues ?

To add my 2p worth. I am STH in SK1 and am 64 years old. I sing and shout but tbh it's hard work - very little around me in terms of vocal support. As has been said many times in this thread too many people sit there without a sound. I get that not everyone wants to join all the chants but no vocal support, really ??! One of things that always attracted me to the football was the atmosphere and quite frankly its dying. Still amazed when people here abuse/criticize UFS for their attempts to generate and increase vocal support - would you rather all sit in silence ?? Anyway I have relocated to the singing session for the cup game on Saturday to give my support. Did it before for the Watford (?) cup game and really enjoyed being more like minded supporters. Up the city !

I suppose a point from each of these away games would have been ok, so having won against Saints this is kind of a "free hit". However putting practicalities aside I'll go with a 4-1 win to us and in typical fan's thinking be devastated if we don't win ! -
After watching last season's team woeful attempts at keeping up with other teams I am delighted to see that we have a manager and coaching team that seem to have availed themselves of the superb facilities at Seagrave to ensure we have a FIT team this season ! The difference between last year and this year is quite remarkable Seeing us 3-1 up and on a breakaway towards the end of a game and the only people keeping up with Mavididi were 2 city players busting a gut to be available for a pass was a truly wondrous sight. Long may it continue Last Friday was a great away night. Hadn't been to an away match for a while and thought the support was great. Sky's coverage and the sound turned down didn't do it justice compared to being there
