  1. I’m not sure playing only 36 matches in English football is really enough to say he’s had experience.
  2. Shocked at some of the replies. He’s scored two goals and one at the Cup. He’s just turned 21. He gives us an aerial advantage, which is clearly not a common here. He’s has an impressive early playing history…and now he’s not even good enough for the championship? Casadei is clearly learning English Football, which is quite different from others he’s accustomed to. I remember when Rush went to Juventus in the 80’s and couldn’t score a goal to save his life. People need to adapt. That’s a fact!
  3. What? Casadei got one of the worst scores? I must’ve been watching the wrong game
  4. I think Casadei will be an outstanding player. We know what he’s capable of (from his youth). I believe once he matures he will be an absolutely fantastic midfielder.
  5. Enrico is Heinrich…Vincenzo is Vincent.
  6. Tom is still a better name
  7. Everyone mentions Guardiola, but Enzo was managed, as a player, by two of the world’s best managers; Marcello Lippi and Carlo Ancelotti. I suspect that being under those managers is manager training in itself. With all that, and a coach under Guardiola I’d say his pedigree is quite good.
  8. As long as we get the promotion, I couldn’t care less. I’m more interested in building this team for next year’s Prem. I hope we just focus on that!
  9. I’m not sure about Maresca…it’s too early to tell TBH. Maresca is definitely different, and from an other era from Ranieri. I was commenting primarily on Ranieri.
  10. I agree, but I’d like to add that though Maresca often referred as a guardiola pupil (ultimately Cruyff), where each player doesn’t have a truly fixed position, both Maresca and Ranieri come from Italian Football, which is reliant on a “regista” or a dominant center fielder. Once Kante was gone Ranieri would have, and he did, had a difficult time executing his system. So no the destroyers were the main officers who couldn’t find a proper replacement.
  11. Actually Vincenzo means “winner”. Of course it may be applied to a conqueror
  12. So two poor games. The idea that Maresca has “only a plan A” (what journalistic moron came up with that anyway?) is rubbish. Certainly all managers have a style they prefer, but it’s way too early to say he’s a one trick pony. Honestly, I thought the players were at fault. They’re getting way too confident and not hungry enough. We’ll see if Maresca has good man management, which I believe is the current problem.
