We all know he's a top Premier League striker but they don't want to admit it because he came from non league. At least Vardy won a Premier League and FA Cup with us, Shearer won a Premier League and did nothing else of note in his career.
-
That scares me also and unless if he's getting match fit with the under 23s we can't for him to use matches in the league for him to get match fit when we'd need him to hit the ground running.
-
Could be the Art of Football collection we've done?
-
Just shows how truly quality Vards is that our next best performing strikers in the last 15 years are nowhere near him genuinely thought they'd of both been close to 50.
-
Who'd be the closest to 100 at the KP after Vards, whether they still play or not I'm going Fryatt or Nugent?
-
Just thinking of that game makes me shudder. Just think where we could be as a club now if we got rid of Rodgers at the right time.
-
Was that the Soyuncu imploding fixture?
-
If we had sacked Rodgers when we should have Dean Smith would of been absolutely nowhere near our club.
-
I don't actually agree with us being broke part, I just think unfortunately the club didn't want him. Cause if we were broke across the spell where Emery was at Villareal and we would of needed to pay compensation we had spent £127 million on transfers so I don't think we were broke. Unless we took £127 million out in loans for the transfers.
-
Nothing as of yet. Is it random selected or do all STH's get it?
-
I've blanked out on the majority of Rodgers tenure here including the year we won the FA Cup don't remember much about it at all, so I don't know if this was before or after the Brighton and Spurs fiasco but I'd of got rid after we lost to Forest in the FA Cup.
-
Yeah we haven't got a game at home in the league kicking off at 3pm until Saturday 18th January 2025 against Fulham.
-
I agree that they could but why risk it in a meaningless cup game when we have more important objectives like staying in league, wouldn't want our best players injured in a meaningless cup game.
-
Not actually seen anything so I'm guessing not?

Development/Youth Squads 2024/2025 Thread - U18/U21

I was reading the thread about the things you missed from football as it used to be. I miss the family night football that use to happen at Filbert Street. Think they should bring something similar to that back at the KP. I know you can buy tickets to watch at Seagrave but it's not exactly close for most fans. It's the best way to get younger fans involved with the club especially with how hard it is to get tickets. They should host under 23s games at the KP and charge about a fiver for adults and a quid for kids. Easiest way for the next generation of fans to get involved in my opinion. What are people's thoughts? -
Worked out the other day cause of games moved for TV our game at home against Bournemouth was our last 3pm kick off on a Saturday at home until we play Fulham at home on the 18th of January.
-
Literally if we play Vardy, Mavididi and Fatawu and 2 of 3 get an injury whether it's short or long term we're completely screwed. Imagine Vardy gets a long term injury and we have to rotate Edouard and Ayew up front for the majority of the season.
-
I'd honestly rest anyone who played Saturday and just basically play our under 23s against these.
-
I still think we'd of been a consistent top 10 side/fighting for Europe if wasn't for the complete mismanagement from the board and sacking Rodgers too late.
-
Southampton for 15/16 when it was us.
-
If bringing him in means getting rid of Rudkin cause he wants his own DOF I'm all for it.
-
Wouldn't surprise me, he wouldn't be my first choice but I'd definitely have him over Cooper.
-
Now makes you wonder if Potter is now gonna want to try and sound out getting a job here, not saying that I want him but let's be honest the two jobs he wanted over us he's ended up getting neither.
-
Not a bad shout actually, wonder if a Saudi team is gonna try and tempt him over there and throw money at him.
-
Genuinely can see him going back to the Dutch League back at Ajax again. Unless someone like Sevilla comes in or a team from Italy.
