Almost certainly a leave voter.

Hot desking. Wtf is this shit all about. Which stupid ****ing tart came up with this idea. Twats turning up early to bag the best skiving desks. Impossible to find anyone. Zero decent banter. People who need to work closely together ending up tens of yards apart. No risers so everyone is hunched over a laptop, chiropractor appointments out the wazoo. No storage space so everyone wastes an hour packing and unpacking everyday. And all for what, so we can 'collaborate' and 'share ideas'. Nobody is sharing any ideas you dumb cvnts. Literally nobody.

I have wisdom tooth pain quite a lot. Holding some hot salt water in your mouth around the affected area and doing this regularly helps a bit. Strong alcohol can numb the area but you don't want to be touching it. Try not to move your mouth at all. Don't eat anything that requires alot of jaw movement. And take either ibuprofen/paracetamol on 2hr rotation or codeine. These steps can make it bearable but it's still a bit of a nightmare. Best to have them taken out I guess but I've never got around to it.

You mean airplanes right? You want to charge your cell phone on the airplane

That's the way to do it. I did a fair stint of travelling and being very poor but enjoying life a lot in my early 20s. Decided that long term I'd benefit from having a decent career and money making potential so unpacked the backpack and 'settled down', thinking I'd one day get to the stage where I could earn good money for 7-8 months of the year and then enjoy the other 4-5 months out in the world without having to worry about being financially hamstrung in old age. I'm still aiming for that lifestyle but it's a long journey to get there and most of it is pretty ****ing shit. You get sucked into the lunacy of wasting your money on trivial crap like cars and expensive gadgets, even when you know they provide next to no genuine satisfaction. I think there's a strong argument for risking everything in the pursuit of something more worthwhile but am I going to do it? Probably not. On a Monday I'm ready to hand in my notice but never do and by Friday I'm like, this isn't actually so bad, it could be worse. It's the same every week, week after week, month after month, year after year. And then you just ****ing die.

Work There has to be more to life than this. Has anyone quit their job on a whim and not regretted it?

Nicely executed bit of self promotion there

I wanted to do Indonesia back to London over land/sea on the way back from Australia a few years back. Got stuck with visa's trying to get into Burma (hence I didn't get very far). Could have been done, but needed more organisation and crucially, more money, so I flew back instead. Always regretted not getting myself organised to do it properly. Long overland trips sound so epic.

Of course if anyone does that they should be punished, but Thracian's opinion is that nobody with a mental illness should be allowed to "roam free". There are millions of people with a mental illness. Aside from how immoral it would be to prevent people from living a normal life on the basis that they have a mental illness, I'm wondering how it would work in practical terms.
-
What other realistic option is there if you don't think the millions who suffer from mental illness should be allowed to live ordinary private lives? You can't monitor them all, can you? You'd have to lock them up.
-
Why don't Monday mornings just **** off?
-
I don't know who ken is but you're turning into Thracian. All we need from you now is a suggestive comment about some awful things that happened to people you know which would definitely prove your point once and for all but is unfortunately just a little bit too graphic to share. You've said, "shooters smoke cannabis, therefore cannabis causes people to become shooters". I've said, "shooters wear socks, therefore wearing socks causes people to become shooters". Both statements are equally ridiculous
-
I heard 90% of shooters were wearing socks. Ban socks!
-
So you think we should lock up everyone showing signs of mental illness?

I did a couple of assessment days like that in my youth and they're horrible things, so I wouldn't worry that you didn't enjoy it. Key thing they're looking for is your ability to communicate effectively with others, so as long as you verbally contributed enough but not too much you should be fine for that part.

Renewable energy booming with developing countries leading the way, and the UK also well represented in spite of supposed austerity cuts to the sector http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-36420750

If you're over 24 and spending more than £25 on a pair of trainers you're a lunatic

I go shopping about twice a year and it's always horrible. Always see loads of blokes walking around the shops with their other halves. I can't decide whether they actually enjoy it or whether they've just failed to establish acceptable ground rules in their relationship. That shopping is not a leisure activity to be enjoyed as a couple was right up there with 'no pegging' in the rules I established from the get go. You've got to stand your ground.

Was in Vietnam for a few weeks about five years ago. Did HCMC to Hanoi via a few stops on the train. It was pretty good, though for me not quite as good as the other countries in that region. Long way to go for a single holiday so you'd want three weeks minimum I expect, and it's one of those places where you need to get out and about and around the country. Not much point going all the way there just to sit in a resort. Also, go in a good season for weather. When it rains it really rains.

I'd probably move somewhere a bit more social. If you can work from anywhere, the world is your oyster. I'd love to be in that position. Working from Bali... yes please Jeff.

Yeah maybe we'll have to agree to disagree. I just don't think there was any need to represent the religion. Like if they were doing crowd control drills in the run up to mardi gras, they wouldn't need the mock crowd to be made up of transvestites dressed as flamboyant peacocks shouting 'come and touch my bum officer' or whatever, would they? They would just have a generic crowd.
-
They wouldn't respond differently to a suicide bomber depending on whether they are from IS or any other organisation though, would they? Why not just set up the drill as a generic suicide bomber. Everybody would know what was being represented, but they wouldn't risk making people feel marginalised. This is the police we're talking about, they do have social responsibilities.
-
There didn't really seem any point to shouting that to be fair. It didn't add any value to the exercise, they could have easily achieved the same goal without any religion being represented. Rightly or wrongly people are bound to comment on things like that in this day and age. The police only need to put a bit of thought into keeping things neutral.
