I totally agree but then questions should be asked as to why they were signed, or more specifically why they were signed at that price? Neither of them are getting a sniff at the moment and it was the same under Shakey as well. Is there something we aren't seeing which is happening on the training ground? Attitude problems etc? I think both have the potential to get into double figures for the season - if they don't fit in with the team then why were the signed? It's games like today which perhaps show our frustrating lack of depth. We could have really done with resting a couple of the lads who have played a lot but it appears that we don't have anyone to come in and do a job despite splashing the cash.

Absolutely dreadful performance and some serious eyebrows raised as to why we didn't go for it earlier in the second half/make some changes. Still perplexing to see Ulloa getting picked ahead of both Nacho and Slim - that's around £50m of wasted attacking talent just languishing on the bench or not even in the squad. Almost everyone was poor so it is hard to point the finger, although Mahrez was incredibly sloppy for the second goal and on the first we were like statues. At times it looked like we were frustrated and reverted back to the hoof tactics which have served us so well. Having said that I thought the Ref had a terrible game. A lot will disagree with me (and maybe i should watch it again) but I thought the Iborra goal being disallowed was quite soft and I thought the Ndidi red/first yellow was also harsh even though I completely agree it wasn't a pen. Albrighton's challenge was a stonewall pen by contrast and Simpson's challenge was near perfect but he received a yellow. You can always expect the officials to make mistakes but I think it's the consistency which frustrates the fans the most.

Naturally, we've been woeful. We are getting turned over by a team with one of the worst away records.. and not just being turned over but the manner in which we have lost and some incredibly controversial refereeing decisions

If you watch it back Ndidi was clipped by the Palace player, it wasn't enough to award the pen but I think it's harsh to send him off for it. Fair enough when there is no contact whatsoever but when someone's running at pace and feels a touch he has the right to go down-- (just like Zaha did a few minutes later near the corner).

Southampton were very poor midweek and so perhaps made us look better but still at home vs palace we should expect better. There is no desire and changes should be made
