  1. There was probably only a second between the flag going up and the ball going in the net. I guess we'll never know if he wanted to let the move play out or didn't reach the whistle in time.
  2. The law has always been when in doubt then the benefit of doubt should always be with the attacking team - but if we're honest is it? I think referees are more afraid of allowing an offside goal to stand than to blow up early and not know what happened. Its not like every offside will be reviewed. It was only highlighted so much last night because it is alien to us. There have been three competitive matches in England, a total of about 3 minutes of pause and in the end a goal correctly given where previously it wasn't. The refs (to their great credit) are continuing to try and referee as if the tech isn't there and use it when necessary. i think a better example last night was Iborras penalty claim where the referee hadn't given the penalty and referred it to VAR because he genuinely wasn't sure. VAR is only to correct clear and obvious errors made by the referee - as it was debatable and the original decision was no penalty then they did not advise to change it as it wasn't a clear and obvious error. The game is still trying to put its faith in the original decision made whilst correcting clear and obvious errors - I can't see how this is a negative thing at all. If Doucore punched it into the net against us and we were sat in 17th like Southampton then we'd all be screaming for it. I remember similar objections to goal line Tech when it came in but if it hadn't then RDL goal against Villa (3:2) nor Maguire against united would have stood.
  3. No he didn't - the linesmans flag went up and the ref didn't blow - all parties played to the whistle which never came so after the ball went in the net, the ref wasn't sure and the VAR advised to award the goal about 67 seconds later.
  4. We have done under Puma but they would be selling in JD based on a deal struck between JD and the fanstore not with Puma. New deal is a club store only one so if any other retailers want to supply it a deal has to be done with the club, they can't buy it from Adidas.
  5. It's Adidas, and for the most part theirs do all have differences (even West Brom have a different design to everyone else) so signs are good. The deal is club store only so they can choose how/where it's sold so that generally reduces how much adidas put behind it (eg West Brom (club store only) vs Juventus (worldwide)).
  6. Also, I think we spend far too much time worrying that what we're doing is original that we're letting our away ends get worse and worse. We have to accept that most football clubs in this country have similar chants and songs. We have a very similar song book to derby (evident when we went there last season) and many others in the division. It's all well and good trying to find and original song but in all honesty the best songs which are sung on repeat by away fans up and down the county are already out there. That's not to say don't adapt them to be our own (there's no point in directly copying it) but there seems to be a fear that to do so makes us a lesser club. Also not to say don't keep trying to be original, because there will be gems out there to be written/sung. But we're always looking for inspiration from other leagues, particularly Germany, when some great songs are already available now. But because United, City, Huddersfield, Brighton etc already do it it must mean we can't have our own version. Our songbook was exceptional 2 years or so ago for obvious reasons, but whilst we sang we're on our way, so did Brighton. When we sang Ranieri's taking us to Europe, the same or a similar version was being used up and down the country. Ranieri's tune, which is now Iborras is probably part of every clubs songbook, and On Wednesday Nights (You are my sunshine) is also everywhere. If we stop only looking for inspiration from other leagues and look at some of the best songs from around us which we aren't utilising then we may have a chance at rebuilding our own song book.
  7. The chant was coming from the away end to Depoitre, whether or not we amended to suit Iborra but i didn't here it. It is a cracking away song though, it was just as loud when City did there version for Leroy Sane. Could do our own. De de de de de, de de de de de, Silva, Adrien Silva, he'll score again for blues.
  8. 1x spare due to dropout - face value.
