  1. I can see a path to a situation where we start next season in the championship with Ange as our manager!
  2. Villa have a strong squad, but basically they should on paper be battling with Spurs & Brighton for 7th, 8th and 9th spot. I honestly think the other 11 teams fans will all start the season worrying about relegation.
  3. Feel like a cheeky bet on Villa winning the European Conference cup is worth a punt - annoyingly they seem to be a team on the up and Emery has a great record in Europe.
  4. Loved him as a player, but as Manager he's been mostly rubbish - also appears to be a PR disaster.
  5. I think the general concensus among Norwich fans is he over achieved in getting them out the Championship (twice) but the board didn't/couldn't back him. His brand of swashbuckling football got found out in the Premiership with basically mostly Championship players at his deposal.
  6. As someone who lives in the Norwich area, I know the fans of Norwich loved Daniel Farke when he was at the club (and they hated Dean Smith), he also had a great Championship record - getting Norwich promoted twice. Rumour has it he's about to leave his current post at Monchengladbach. I'd be very happy to pick him up.
  7. Are we (or were we ever really) interested in James Garner from Man Utd? £ + Garner for Youri?
  8. So in terms of European Qualification for next season what does winning this Trophy mean? Champs League, Uefa Cup, Re-entry back into this cup, or nothing?
  9. I think for a Striker I'd like us to be linked with Neal Maupay of Brentford. 22 Years of age and while Striker is probably his best position he can also can play as a wide forward/winger, so he could play across our front three with the system Rodgers seems to prefer. He's fast with decent skills and got himself 25 goals this season, with a further 9 assists - which suggests there is end product not just a 'fast' player. At that age and the more flexibility in his playing position (he isn't just restricted to down the middle) I can see him as an extremely useful squad player - with potential to be the Vardy replacement we will need down the line. The only other teams linked with him at the minute are Villa (unsurprsingly as Dean Smith is there manager) and Middlesborough. Transfer cost wise I'd say he'd by around the 15m mark.
