Coady can only be an asset coming into this fraught looking end to the season, as he is a leader and we have been light in this area for far too long. Just hope that Enzo does as you suggest and integrates him during this mini break.

Faes is out of form, think that’s the nub of it. Just depends if Enzo thinks he can return to his previous form, which was good. Coady has a small sample size (not his fault) so it’s tough to say either way really, but Faes has sure been back his super exciting worst of late, which could be an issue at this end of the season. Wont hear a word against Vestergaard this season tbh, he has been beyond reproach unless you put his performance under the smallest of microscopes, and every player is crap under such close scrutiny.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

Not so sure, or maybe it does not apply for clubs of a certain “size”, but there has been cases were clubs have become broken through striving too hard/too early. Would personally prefer that the reason for success if effort, innovation or some other non financial element, although agree with the idea of not being forced to sell to balance finances against a declared limit that only applies to the few. -

There can be no excuse now for the Premier League not to define what punishments are for, along with a guideline on what the penalties would be. They would need to leave enough scope for variation based on circumstance, but not enough for cases to take a long time or end up in court for months on end. They set the rules, so do it and stop all the mucking about, ensuring there is ample clarity and no scope for a circus. -

“New phone, who dis?” -
Was agreeing that as it stands playing this way, with Jannik, with this personnel, we would struggle, but we would presumably have to recruit to cover his lack of pace, or just replace him - this has its own problems. Surely Enzo watches Burnley with interest, as they are the perfect test bed of how this style can fall short without changes?

As stated on a forum (would rather not say which one!) that people need to be able to separate the two problems that often get correlated The rules for PSR/FFP are wrong/unfair The rules were broken. The two things can both be true, but they are not connected. -

You can still overspend even if you spend it all on garbage. -
Follow Man City then?

If we play as now, with the same personnel, he will be exposed, but we won’t, so it’s hard to tell. It’s also no good focusing on what he is crap at (moving ) without acknowledging what we would lose without him.

I did, so it might well be.

It's not a zero sum game, they are a bit naff of late

Think some fans struggle to put his tenure behind them.

How does that work?

And what does having your head out of the sand do exactly?

Wasn't today an example of that?

Isn’t it just ‘Sit down’?

Oh for sure. It’s not personally in me to be negative, I do not see the point in it, it feels like a self fulfilling prophecy. I see the why, the whole ‘Oh crap, we have seen this before’ vibe, but what is gained by being negative about the situation? Softening the blow? We are all different I guess..
-
Yes, but we had never won the FA Cup until we did, never won the Premier League until we did. History need not repeat.
-
Media tells us to expect. So people expect. It’s really not good for mental health for those of a more naturally negative disposition.

Ricardo will be back. Wilf is back. Context is king.
