In which case you would see a true division emerge between competitive teams and those that can only be there for their season in the sun before being relegated or return to being non TOP level whipping boys. Means the any competitiveness in the premier league would be in split into TOP level or the ALSO RANS, thus the Premier League would decay more and more each season in terms of spectacle.

All gone a bit flat and sure there are multiple reasons. Is it Enzo’s tactics? No idea, but it isn’t like we have stopped playing that way, we just seem flat much more often, very odd. Maybe it’s the financial thing?

Not a surprise after 3 loses, and an unconvincing win and players looking a bit frazzled is it?

This is a good point, stress seems likely then.Would say get some head doctors in, but maybe best not right now……cut your cloth etc… -
1 year if we go up, this Summer if we don’t
-
Would be results dependant surely? Although you would hope we would not be quite so tardy if it did look bad again.

There is a chunk of jealousy as well, as we play a controlled, sensible way and it works, or at least has been thus far. Some would understandably want a more dynamic (I did not say gung ho) approach. However, I think some of that comes from a false recollection of how we used to play, or at least a selective recollection. We can appreciate what Enzo has done, especially after the toxic relegation, the stability and control is appreciated at least in part, but watching you or Leeds give some the impression that you guys play like this 24x7 makes some discontented I think. Watched you last night after our games finished and it was exciting, easy to see why you score, never giving it up, that of course also means you are liable to concede playing thus. Good luck (just not too much), and Foxes and you to go up please.

So we are tired, my question is why? Do not imagine we are running or sprinting more than others, so must assume we are mentally tired. Does Enzo really make the poor buggers use their brains that much more? -
I have been increasingly wondering about this, and if there is a significant jump in instruction under Enzo, could this is contributing quite significantly to mental fatigue in the team.

Agree. There are multiple ears listening who need to be told things, perhaps the same things, in different ways. Any signalling to the press/ fans by calling out players who underperform has the risk of upsetting his work force, like in any workplace, it’s a fine line.

Could not give a toss personally about bragging rights, be it for winning the cup nor the league, just want what (I imagine) is best for the future of the club.
-
Maybe it is as simple as the Cup is for the fans, whereas promotion for the club('s future). Which is a bit shitty
-
Cynical perhaps, but money equates to success, be it in the League or to a very very slightly lesser degree, the Cup. Yes it would be great to have another FA cup, but that is an instant benefit, the promotion is for the clubs future (Like it or not)

It seemed like there was a clear shift in mindset once we had scored (happy to be corrected, maybe it came later), so very confused why this would be so pronounced as this was not the case earlier. My fear is that this is confidence, as if its broken now, fixing it during the run in seems difficult. -

Side Note - ReadyToGo largely say no pen, likely because he did his silly swan dive. You can always tell when the majority of opposition fans say "We would have been fuming if it had/hadn't been given against us" -
But not the previous 80 of Ipswich’s
