  1. We have the benefit of living outside the here and now and know we have achieved greater honours, to diminish them by pretending all honours are equal is just weird.
  2. So if the championship is a major trophy, what’s the EPL? The FA Cup? Or do you think they are all comparable?
  3. A beating. Cannot help morale for Ipswich. Just hope it doesn’t mean the inverse for Leeds.
  4. Why on Earth would that even need to be said, it’s the aim of every single team. The most important thing is to ensure we are promoted, not finish first or we stay in this league and try again.
  5. Only if you own the zero.
  6. Wanted a close game, this is not ideal
  7. Because promotion is the most important thing, so the gap to third is most important.
  8. Come on Ipswich, don’t fold
  9. Worst result? Leeds destroy Ipswich maybe? Love this relaxed interest rather than butt clenching terror, but wouldn’t miss that either.
  10. Good job he was bought for the longer term then (Yes, longer term thinking, oft referred to as forward planning is actually a real thing with benefits to the club beyond today...)
  11. Yes, this may well be the watershed moment, where finally money is not the deciding factor. It would be fabulous to see the footballing world, backed by Governments, state a position of such finality that the repercussions of trying to continue this greedy crusade would become self defeating.
  12. It long ago stopped being about the football itself, tourists follow brands, not style, results or tables.
  13. See my amended post.
  14. Ah ok, but still imagine main energies would be directed to this Super League and the Premier League will become a secondary competition. (goes and reads last post) Fair enough
  15. Yes of course there is, something truly catastrophic in fact, just not for those who leave. As much as the other 14 clubs would like to shrug it off or deny it, if those 6 left, it would impact the value of the EPL hugely. The knock on effect is to reduce revenues across those that remain and I cannot imagine the Super League is that concerned about the other pyramid levels we hold so dear.
  16. Not at all. Just need to add new banners and a new scandal every other week, and this shit will just run and run.
  17. Just need to fix this immoral relegation aberration, and then all is well with the world.
  18. Not necessarily but it does not mean he isn’t a dick. Rodgers was here though.
  19. Cannot recall, but has Courtois always been a bit of a dick? Guess playing for arguably the biggest club in the world will do that too you
  20. Personally, no.
  21. Are you seriously offsetting this season with his time at Southampton or in the Bundesliga Stats are super useful, but even they need context.
  22. Depends what at
  23. Nope, looks quite positive from what little we have seen
  24. As ironic as it may sound, I am not convinced the strikers main job is to score goals in this system. How long this “build up and misdirect” type role can last is not obvious though.
