Ricardo just got old. Personal choice on risk and as I say I am unsure. If they sacked Marti and brought in Russel Martin, people would lose their minds and he would be doomed. He would get no time due to his record, and they would expect him to fail. I just cannot see the board pivoting from the style they think they need/want.

I know you opinion on Jannik, but, with this level of cherry picking you could chastise any of our players over the last 18 months. He is not what we want, he is not the future and he is on the decline, but right here, right now, he is passable, certainly no more. His attitude is also fine, he just has substantial weaknesses, and as a manager if you pick him then you must mitigate for them as he is not going to suddenly any pace or agility. He is at least talking during the match, something nowhere near enough of our lot anywhere near enough.

Would argue it can be true if those players do not apply themselves. You can of course then say that generating the necessary application levels is part of the managers role though

The nature of the first goal, so soon after kick off is inexcusable, further evidence that we cannot cope with the press. Don’t try to, put it back in their half.
