We’re basically relying on taking a chance on someone who is off the back of doing poorly in their last job or jobs. So someone with something to prove and has the experience and knowledge of how to get the best out of what he’s got. Completely different circumstances but when we went for Ranieri. Majority didn’t want him after what happened with Greece but he knew what was needed.

I’m not convinced they’ll listen to him. Clearly it didn’t happen last season when King was there with Ruud. As shit as we are the players have to believe in what the manager wants from them. The last 3 managers had zero tactical ability and did the bare minimum. It was Enzo who although very robotic with his approach the players believed in what he wanted.

King until the end of the season will never be the right call. He has zero managerial experience and these fragile egos will never take on board what he wants. An experienced manager is what we need whether it be someone from this country or abroad.

Looking at Hassenhutl’s record at Southampton in the premiership he finished 16th, 11th, and 15th. Then finished 11th with Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga. Decent without being brilliant but that’s where we are now. Certainly think he should be under consideration. Rather have him over Martin, Rowett and Coleman.

We are extremely predictable with appointing managers. Same managers with previous experience in the division. Each day imo we’ll release another name to gauge fan reaction and eventually appoint someone who’s distinctly average but slightly better than those mentioned previously. We will also throw in a foreign manager when we’re close to appointing someone else just to make it look like we’ve looked further afield than just this country. Bo Svensson when Cifuentes was appointed and Niko Kovac when RVN was chosen.
