I’d suggest us getting Skubala or Challinor asap as they know league 1 but both could be replacing us in the championship.

You can just see Parker and Dyche being available after this weekend and we go and hire Russell Martin.

He was. Everyone has to start somewhere. He’s done very well at Lincoln with limited resources and has experience of developing young players.

If we can afford to pay compensation for Smith then I’d rather we pay it for someone more long term like Skubala.

Why wouldn’t Skubala come here? It’s the best opportunity currently for him in the championship and if and I know it’s a big if he does well he can progress with us or elsewhere. Whoever comes in it really shouldn’t be that difficult to get at least 6 or 7 wins in this rubbish league. The only stumbling block will be compensation for him.

I’d be happy with Skubala. Looks like someone for a rebuild which is what we need. But knowing these clowns they wouldn’t even realize that they’d have to pay compensation to Lincoln for him.

I agree to a point with you but the last 3 managers have shown zero tactical awareness and flexibility during matches. As bad as the players have been they have to believe in what the manager wants from them. Which they did when Enzo was here.

Very difficult to suggest no one would have kept us up last season. Yes we were/are a mess but RVN lost 17 of 19 games and went so many home matches without even scoring. Not saying we’d of definitely stopped up last season with someone else in charge but I’m sure the name’s mentioned after Cooper went would have imo given it a better go than Ruud. Would be extremely difficult for anyone else to do worse. Even a couple of wins and draws in that bad run would have given us a chance however slim it might have been.

I agree. But imo we are limiting ourselves. I just wish we’d at least consider the options available to us abroad.
