  1. It's very bizarre. I said to my mates, for nearly half the fanbase, it's just a day out, not too dissimilar to going to the cinema for them. Their entire footballing opinions are anything that the mainstream sports media tell them, they've convinced themselves we are just little old leicester and it was almost inevitable. The club is very good at manipulating and maintaining them aswell, free stuff and rolling out some good propaganda in a programme every now and then. The word Cuckold has been thrown and it's very apt imo. And look they pay their money they can support how they want even if its annoying and in my opinion detrimental to the club....what I can't abide is the group within them that tells others they can't boo, or be unhappy and leap to the clubs defense at every turn. I honestly believe the only way they will turn is a mid table, or worse, season in the championship, when the stadiums half full, and they get a bit of a shock about how bad those days were, we bounced back last year immediately so I don't think it's quite landed how bad it could and probably will get.
  2. Honestly think some of our fans still think it's the 90s
  3. I know he can't say much, but his post match presser was just lifeless football clichés. Painful to listen to.
  4. It's a fair challenge haha Was just a sport day with some mates, pub crawls, cup final etc. and we were just about drunk enough to think it would be a laugh. I've made worse drunk decisions, not by much though.
  5. Not really, Rudkin out at 14, shouted at by the clappers. Lots of people telling others who were unhappy "It's man united, what did you expect" or "look at southampton and Ipswich, the gap is too big, what cab you do?" Most of the vocal fans were gone by the end so they still got applauded off by a large section of the fans.
  6. Another terrible performance against a team who didn't even have to try. Similar to Arsenal and West Ham games. More apathy in the stands from Fans, heard alot of "why are you angry, it's man united" that's how out of touch the fan base is, they think it's the 90s. I just don't really get what the plan is? Hard to say anything that hasn't already been said, it's fairly clear to me that bar a couple of players absolutely no one cares. We've got a manager so out of his depth you almost have to feel sorry for him at this point, it's been like having the kit man in charge. The worst thing is everyone behind the scenes doesn't know what to do, this has caught them off guard and we are just frozen in disbelief it's happened again. But too many of the fans are fine with it so onto the championship we go, hopefully with a new manager, but I doubt it.
  7. SK3 "why are people getting mad, it's man united, what did they expect?"
  8. Soumare and Faes masterclass. Miss the ball and then don't engage, just let him run at goal under no pressure.
  9. Playing like a side that has 5 at the back and 2 holding midfielders.
  10. The only issue is we have shown time and again we won't do that, it would have to be some 180 in the way we operate. Which would be welcome but I just don't believe this lot have it in them, I think they will say the team is a play off team, just add a couple and we will come back.
  11. Good listen, I honestly think this is the key to turning the "be careful what you wish for" crowd. They think they are above it all and the only people that are annoyed are some "young chavs" as one of them said to me. They need official outlets to tell them the same thing most of us have been saying because they haven't got the interest to go looking for it, they need it spoon fed.
  12. If you look at the comments post QPR etc. And general comments from in the game at the time of his appointments, he demands a high level of professionalism. The problem is we have a squad of players who aren't bothered and don't listen/think they know better. Like a teenager tuning out a shouting parent. Like @ClaphamFox says the issue is you have to back it up by being a good manager aswell, one thing to demand better standards off the pitch another to make it translate on the pitch. For what it's worth I think both @ClaphamFox and @Claudio Fannieri are right, the reason he hasn't gone is Top is desperate for this to work out and is impressed with RVN off the field. The issue for me is I don't think Top has figured out RVN is at his whits end with the group and is also not showing the signs of a good manager who can adapt. I believe RVN has been told he can have the summer to clear it out and start again, but my issue is, I am not sure we can have another 10 games of this I just cant see how you can over see this for aslong as he has and will have done and think it will turn around and also I don't see how we can have a big clear out, we still have alot of the "bad eggs" on big money who won't want to leave, for instance Vestergaard has 2 more years rumoured to be around the 70k a week zone, he has no interest in moving clubs and we've made it so easy for him he will quite happily just take his money and not play. It's just another proper mess of a situation caused by really really poor recruitment and squad building.
  13. I do get the cynicism based on previous output of the foxes trust. And I know it's cool to be negative about everything, but is there an alternative? Whilst it may not be optimal, the alternative feels like no one tries or even has a way of trying to hold the club to account and they just do what they want and then we continue to moan?
  14. Before the spurs game, I don't think he offered his resignation officially, but he was seriously pissed off with us for not backing him aswell as some of the players attitudes and Top stepped in. Was when all those press releases circulated.
  15. Not sure if this has been posted or if it's the right place to post. But fair play to Soucek.
  16. Someone should tell Ruud, he hasn't quite figured out the 2nd half "improvement" was because the game was done and West Ham were just coasting and the fact anything would of been an improvement on the 1st half.
  17. This doesn't absolve RVN from giving up or being a bad manager, but this squad we have do not respond well to managers calling them out or disciplining them. Half of them think they are alot better than they are and they haven't responded well to Ruud trying to set a standard and demand more professionalism. If you look at his comments after the QPR game he was saying players need to earn their spot etc. He has tried to improve their professionalism but when the big characters and earners have no interest in meeting him halfway it's a tough ask. Like I say doesn't absolve him but we have a rotten squad with a rank attitude to the core. There are a couple of exceptions but most are rotting the club as much as the ownership.
  18. He didn't want to come here
  19. Not 100% but from mates there they think Rudkin was but Top wasn't. Honestly don't believe PSR is the main issue in sacking him, although not ideal to sink more money. I'm lead to believe the honest reason he's still here is because they didn't expect him to be this bad and they are having a hard time coming to terms with it. I know that Top stepped in before the spurs game and had a chat with him, heard from someone reliable that this happened, no idea what was said, my worry is they've promised him the summer, but since then I think its very clear everyone has completely given up so hopefully a bit of realism is hitting home.
  20. I get a bit torn with this one as I think we'd negotiated the renewal before we knew Enzo was leaving and he was clearly a key cog in the enzo machine because of his ability on the ball. But maybe I'm being too kind as all the evidence normally suggests we just give in to what anyone wants. The ridiculous thing to me is if my belief is true, that we extended because of enzo before he left, how little do you need to know about football to think the smart thing was to think Cooper was going to get the best out of him and that's not just him that's half the team. The lack of a football strategy or any clue about football in general at the board level is staggering.
  21. I agree with this. I don't think we should appoint our manager for next season now unless there's an obvious candidate, which feels very unlikely. I think you just let Andy King and Brian Barry Murphy run the last few games and try and instill some pride so we go into next season with a bit of a mentality shift as we will be stuck with 70% of this lot playing in the championship again.
  22. As annoying as it's been to fight through the ridiculous and frankly lazy "entitled fans" tag. We really need the media to push this harder, I think its the only way we see any real change, they can ignore than fans as they have done for a while, but its tough to ignore a wave of journalists, it will also likely turn a large section of the "be careful what you wish for" brigade, they need to be spoon fed this stuff.
  23. They weren't intended tactics, the players have given up on him since he called them out last week. We have a squad of delusional fragile egos, who complained to Top on a daily basis about Cooper by the end. There was no way they were going to respond to Ruuds comments in any other way. Ruud gave up weeks ago, the players can see it and aren't interested, we are now into similar territory from 2 years ago where agents are telling some of them don't get a bad injury so we can find you a new club in a few months time. And as for Top, Rudkin etc. They simply don't know what do, there is no contingency incase Ruud was shit, most credible managers won't go near us as it's quite well known in the football world about how badly we are run, 4 managers in a row lied to. Whilst Rodgers was obviously a better manager, they have seen what it looks like when a manager gives up, they are watching it happen again in complete denial. They are Incompetent and unfit to have any role in modern football.
  24. It will be interesting to see how this relegation is taken. I still don't believe a large majority of fans are going to be that bothered, I think it might take a bad championship season before they really catch on. The general attitude seems to be, we aren't very good, it's tough to stay up, but we will come up again next season and give it another go. My only hope is that a few members of the media who are close to the club are starting to take a few shots and I think they will be the ones that need to drive the mentality of that group of fans, they need to be told directly by people like tanner/percy before they believe somethings wrong.
  25. I agree, I dont think anyone can keep us up because we have a bad squad and a lot of bad eggs, but you can see from his post match interview there's nothing left for him here. Any players that do fancy it will be turning to him and seeing him almost shrugg his shoulders and say "I can't do anything else for you" This is now more about next season in the championship and the plan because he can't carry on here, the team epitomises their manager, and this team has given up like him which there's no coming back from.
