  1. Happy for you wes, but I hope Tuchel plays you in midfield and you bomb.
  2. Wesley Fofana Is The Latest Lesson That You Can't Bully Leicester City https://www.thesportsman.com/articles/wesley-fofana-is-the-latest-lesson-that-you-can-t-bully-leicester-city
  3. Excellent summation that took FT some 239 pages to say over and and over over again. Do me one favour though - please don't try it for Brendon, that's about to reach 1050 pages. Not counting sub topics.
  4. Brilliant but should have been 5 years so we could get £80m when Chelsea come in for him at Christmas
  5. I have a friend who files his cd's in alphabetical order of bass player surname.
  6. Enter half of FT saying we already have one, he did a press conference earlier. What an excellent idea. Thank you.
  7. Such as Chilwell having a mare against Chelsea in an end of season CL decider for instance. Even though it wasn't official then.
  8. No, you miss the point. Outgoings to Greedy 6 entirely unaffected. It's the outgoings from them of contracted players that I would embargo. If you like it's an expansion of the system pioneered by Barcelona (and us) of having too many players on too much money that in the end could force a little sanity. I'm quite warming up to this now😆
  9. Anyone else on here itching to put them in alphabetical order.
  10. Well you can stop right there intruding into my dreams with your truth and logic. (I agree with everything you said and I detest what has happened but it doesn't stop the Baldrick in me)
  11. Teams outside the Greedy Six should privately agree to not buy or loan any player from said group and their fellow European overlords. We can't stop them cherry picking now but after a couple of summer windows they would have squads impossibly full and be unable to recruit further. As contracts run down players would become available to be signed but without the fees that sustain the Six. Other Cunning Plans welcome.
  12. Apologies. It was a reference to players leaving shortly after signing a 5 year contract. Clearly it wouldn't happen - or perhaps I over thought it.
  13. Which means what, exactly? Not that I'm in favour mind
  14. In a heartbeat. Those ears don't worry me a bit. (If Chelsea paid his wages)
  15. Certainly agree there are some odd decisions going on but I (in my naivety) put it down to having to change plans because we haven't been able to shift the fringe players. Even so they don't all stack up. I'd like to believe that we could do a Chelsea when they got their transfer ban and they have had loads of money to spend they following year. We could be in the same position when we lose the end of contract players next year and have 2 year's worth of dosh to spend. Of course that relies on staying in the prem and who is trusted to spend it. Can we not open that wound again please.
  16. Ric now you have me properly confused. For several weeks we've agreed on here that we have money to buy but not for wages because of the new eufa rules. Now you intimate something entirely different. Also, unless your real name is Susan, if you know it (and it's correct) then Chelsea will certainly know it too, so there's absolutely no point in the brinkmanship from LCFC. Please share it with us - there's only the two of us here😂
  17. I don't buy into this "short career" crap. I'm ignoring lower leagues, it's a totally different argument. And also ignoring Greedy 6 wages for a similar reason Average EPL wage - £60k a week Bang average EPL club player - let's call it £30k a week - that's almost £16m over 10 years. Yet someone on £30k a year will earn barely one million in a lifetime. Our hypothetical footballer's pay won't be eaten in tax as there will be schemes to avoid (err sorry, mitigate) tax. Probably pay less tax than my £30k pa man. I have no sympathy whatsoever and would be happy for a maximum pay scheme. I don't begrudge it whilst there are clubs that will pay it. But don't expects me to fawn over players that have a 5 year contract that will pay them between £20 and £30 million because they would like to earn £60million - or more. Rant over. Actually it's probably not😆

  19. IF WE COULD GET BACK TO THE TOPIC INSTEAD OF YET ANOTHER SESSION OF BASH BRENDAN......... I'd be happy to give Sarina Wiegman a go. No, I mean she can obviously handle players. That's not right either. She'd do me........ What the hell. Go Sarina😆
  20. Thank you. I particularly liked: NewDawnFades said: These lot make £214,864,000 a year between them
